Spider-Man, The Sensational
Spider-Man (Spider Friends)
4 cost, 7 ATK, 7 DEF, Range
Substitute
Pay 7 ATK this turn >> Exhaust target character
with cost 3 or less. Use only if you control
another Spider-Friends character.
Yeah... I'm not
so impressed with this Spider-Man. 7/7 Range
for 4 isn't bad, but I'm not really a huge fan
of the Substitute ability, and paying 7 ATK to
exhaust a 3 or less cost isn't too impressive in
my book.
Sealed: 3/5 In sealed, he has some potential
because of his ability to lock down a cheap
character, and he is a decent attacker.
Constructed: 2/5 Not so hot here. So man other
spider men kicking around, and other Spider
Friends 4 costers... I just don't really like
this Spidey. |

The
Sensational Spider-Man. I like the name for this
version. It sounds closer to cool than cheesy,
and the art (Alex Horley, one of my favs) is
pretty good. Effect-wise, he's great actually.
You have a lot of options with this guy. You can
pay attack, exhaust a three or less and then sub
him out, or you can wait until combat. Great
stall and great effect, given that most
(acceptable) activated effects are on three or
less.
Sealed - 5.0 (I know it might be weird to give a
stall-ish character such a high grade, but let's
be real, he's top pick.)
Constructed - 5.0 (We didn't forget about Spidey
in the City (I.e., GK/Spider-Friends, Galactus),
have we? |
