Chameleon, Reep Daggle
Card #DLS-005
------
Date Reviewed: 06.xx.07
Constructed Rating: 2.50
Limited Average Rating: 2.00
Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst. 3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating. |

Chameleon,
Reep Daggle
Legionnaires uncommon
3 cost flight 5/4
Chameleon has a semi useful ability. I say that
because besides burn there’s not a whole lot of
effects targeting you. This is why Eye of
Agamotto is a crap rare. If either said target
effect that targets a character then it would be
great. Chameleon’s size if ok needs a bigger
attack since most 3 drops anymore are 6/6. The
Legionnaires are good team for under drops and
team attacking so his size shouldn’t be a big
deal. I think though Chameleon is about my 3rd
choice for a 3 drop from this team. I’d take
Shrinking Voilet, XS, or Karate Kid.
Overall rating 2.5 / 5 Chameleon’s just about
par not completely worthless but far from game
breaking. |

Chameleon
You know, I could conceivably power up the
Chameleon from Sinister Syndicate with this
card, if it wasn’t trademarked…
Chameleon
Reep Daggle
Legionnaires/3/5/4
Flight
Remove a Cosmic counter from a character you
control > Negate target plot twist or payment
effect targeting you. Use this power only once
per turn.
I don’t know Legionnaires that well, so I’ll
just do this logically. If I were playing
Legionnaires, I’d kinda want to swarm. This card
is iffy in the swarm department, but the stats
are okay. Next, in the ability department, I can
negate an effect or plot twist targeting me.
Wow. I sure do need to target all those
prevalent and broken effects that target a
player and not effects that target characters.
Wow. And finally, like most of the cosmic
characters in Legionnaires, Cosmic with no
cosmic ability. Wow.
Modern Age: 1/5
Silver Age: 1/5
Golden Age: 1/5
Overall: 1/5
Wow.

Flight

Alrighty... lets start with the basics. 5/4 for
3 is about standard (4/5 being the average, I do
believe). Flight is helpful. His ability is
pretty neat, if you have access to plenty of
Cosmic counters. Negating Plot Twists and
payment effects that target you can be pretty
handy.
Sealed: 2/5 You probably won't see enough Cosmic
cards in sealed to make good use of him.
Constructed: 4/5 As he has cosmic, you'll get at
least one good shot out of him. |

“Be a Varokian Dungbeast, Cham.”
“Can’t I be a puppy instead?”
“No we need a dungbeast!”
“Stupid, stupid legionnaires””
-Chameleon
I have to apologise for ever dissing the Legion.
I’ve been reading Mark Waid’s run on Legion of
Superheroes, and it rocks. Seriously it is
awesome. And if you don’t agree, I have only one
thing to say on the matter;
“Eat it Grandpa”
Now to business, Cham has okay stats and an
interesting effect, negating plot twist and
payment effects targeting you, as in you the
player. The effects that target a player
specifically are mostly burn related. So this
can be useful. However Cham should also negate
any effect played against you that says target
opponent must, or cannot do X or Y. Which is
actually pretty good when you think about it.
To finish, I like flight. It’s always useful and
cosmic means that Cham can help with the
Legion’s cosmic counter theme.
All in all not a bad character.
Sealed: 3
Constructed: 3
