Big Leagues
3 cost plot twist
If all characters you control share at least one
affiliation, target attacker you control gets +4
attack.
Every time a new set comes out, our friends at
upper deck try to improve on their work. Marvel
origins sets the bar pretty high for beastly
attack pumps, but here is our new silver medal.
Big leagues is the second best straight up
attack pump in a mono-team deck in my opinion.
+4 is nothing to sneeze at, and plus you don’t
suffer the drawbacks of blinding rage(+4/-4 is
kind of a bad deal). Everyone seems to forget
cards like windstorm and call to arms, but those
cards that can give a +4 attack for certain
decks are excellent for beginners and properly
themed decks.
Big leagues really shines in a strong mono team
deck. Curve sentinels of old now have choices as
to which attack pump they choose, probably
depending on which turn is their kill turn. With
mobilize and other team-centric cards released
as of late it seems upper deck has noticed that
everyone was just throwing powerful cards
together and calling it a deck, rather than
using things like team attacking and
reinforcement. So if you’ve got them and play an
aggressive deck that plans on attacking to win,
it might be a good idea to try out some big
leagues.
