Time Trapper,
Temporal Manipulator
3 cost Future Foes rare
Reservist, Concealed-Optional
Time Trapper will never be played in hidden
area! While he’s able anytime your opponent
searches (Enemy, Mobilize, Amed, ect ect) they
discard a card. This goes great with the Future
Foes hand wreck but it makes your opponent play
around your strategy. They’ll either have to
search when he’s stunned or before he’s
recruited but if not they’ll have to discard
most of the time two cards. The first time I saw
him I was playing a Fantastic Four Negative Zone
deck. Signal flare just cost me a cost before
the search and one after. His size isn’t bad but
most playable 3 drops have at least a 6 attack
but 5/5 isn’t bad. No flight or range who cares
he’s played for his ability. Heck if Amed was a
1/1 3 drop he’d get played!
Time Trapper gets a 5/5 for Future Foes and a
4/5 for getting splashed in any other deck, |

Time Trapper-
Temporal Manipulater (Future Foes)
3 cost, 5 ATK, 5 Def
Reservist, Concealed- Optional
While Time Trapper is visible, whenever an
opponant searches a deck, he discards a card.
Well... this is a pretty cool card. 5/5 is a
litle above average for 3 cost, although he
doesn't have Flight or Range. He does have
Reservist, which is one of my favorite abilities
in the game, and he can come into play Hidden or
Visible, giving you full use of either his
ability or his 5 attack. A few sets back, I'd
have said that his ability is mediocre at best,
but with all the stuff that allows you to search
in the Marvel Team- Ups set, this can be pretty
sick. Most search cards force your opponant do
discard a card to use them anyway. Time Trapper
could well put a stop to your opponants
searching.
Sealed: 4/5 He's a 5/5 for 3 cost, concealed. If
you get him, you can easily play him as a beat
stick.
Constructed: 4/5 With all the search going on
now, and his Attack and Deffense above the norm,
he is a solid character as a whole. |

Time Trapper
<> Temporal Manipulator
Cost 3
5/5
Reservist, Concealed-Optional
Okay, so Time Trapper, from Legion of
Superheroes. Legion is the latest DC set that
nobody cares about. It has “Mobilise” in it.
Other than that I don’t care either. I also
don’t know much about the comic back story for
Legion of Superheroes. What I can tell you is
that it’s set in the future some time after all
the good names have been taken.
Time Trapper is one of the future foes. They are
the bad guys who fight the heroic Legion of
Superheroes. They fight them in the future.
Probably in space I’m guessing.
Anyway, Trappy is the only really useful
character with the future foes affiliation in
the whole set. Want to know why? When he’s
visible (concealed-optional) your opponent has
to discard a card every time he searches any
deck (his or yours).
That effect makes him a good card. Everything
else about him sucks. The stats, the ta, the
lack of flight, the lack of range, they all
suck. But that effect is sweet. So let’s say it
again.
Your opponent has to discard a card every time
he searches any deck.
Searching for equipment (cough Fate cough) costs
you an extra card. Searching for characters
(Assemble, B-Team, blah, blah, e.t.c.) costs you
an extra card. Heck even using Time Thief now
costs you a card. So that’s a really good
effect. Plus it also ties into the “discard”
theme of a future foes deck. The downsides are
of course everything else about this character.
He’s not really been splashed in any decks yet
and to be honest I don’t see it happening. That
said, you wouldn’t want to make a future foes
deck without him. Though why you’d want to make
a future foes deck…
Sealed: 3.5
Constructed: 4
