Ghost Rider
I thought we’d do a Legend this week, since the
set is based on playing with your favorite
Marvel character. This legend is Ghost Rider.
Ghost Rider
Spirit of Vengeance
Marvel Knights/6/13/11
Range
Whenever another Marvel Knights character you
control becomes stunned, target opponent loses
endurance equal to its cost.
This is an interesting card. It certainly
captures the spirit of vengeance. But it’s not
quite all that useful. By turn six, you should
have a 4, 5, and 6 drop. If you don’t have
initiative, Ghost Rider will be the first target
to prevent his effect from happening. And if
not, the most damage you can do back is 11.
That’s iffy in my book. Unless you already have
more endurance than your opponent, this is very
situational.
In sealed, 11 is very good. Very good…
Constructed: 3/5
Sealed: 4/5
Of course, if you had the next card…

New Marvel Knights means new Ghost Rider, and
this one's the same, yet different. He still
has the whole 'punishment' thing going on but
this is different. It's like the 4 drop
Defenders version, on steroids, and maybe E.
Happy to share the pain, yet refuses to give
unless he recieves it. I don't like that. He's
good; he can turn a game in your favor, but I
don't like that I have to suffer for him to do
some work.
Sealed - 3.5 (With enough MK or a team up, it
will make your opponent
attack differently than intended)
Constructed -
2.0 (Why do I have to suffer for you to work?) |
