I guess this is Faces of Evil week...man, that
deck was the nuts while it lasted. Techno never
really made the cut though. He was a 2 drop, so
he'd have gotten the bonus, but his utility is
more as a discard on Turn 5 then a drop on Turn
2. You never really wanted to recruit him, not
when you had Beetle and Yellowjacket with far
superior effects. Why pitch a card for a 2/2
boost, when you could use a Hard Sound Construct
for an extra swinger on your kill turn?
Good in Draft though; if you draw him after turn
2, he's still useful.

Paul Ebersol <> Techno, Gadgeteer
(Thunderbolts)
2 cost, 3 ATK, 2 DEF, Range
Discards Paul Ebersol >> Target Thunderbolts
attacker or defender with cost 3 or less you
control gets +2 ATK/ +2 DEF this attack. Use
this power only if Paul Ebersol is in your hand
and only if you control 5 or more resources.
Interesting... Paul here has about
average stats, and range, but he also has a
little kick later in the game. By holding a few
of these guys in your hand, you can make target
3 cost guy a decent beat stick. Not bad at all.
Sealed: 2/5 He requires you to target a
Thunderbolts character, and in sealed, you may
not find very many Thunderbolts characters with
cost 3 or less.
Constructed: 4/5 I like. He can make a small
guy scary. You may as well just hold onto him
like he's a 5 cost plot twist. He'll do double
duty as a buff for weaker guys and a 2 cost to
attack with earlier on.
Again, tell me if you think I"m wrong. I don't
know how a Thunderbolts deck works.

Paul Ebersol
<> Techno - Gadgeteer
I'm not going to lie, I like this guy. It's on
attack and defense, and it's a character
discard, so with recursions, it's a reusable
pump.
Sealed - 3.0
Constructed - 4.0 (With recursion, it can get be
exploited.) |
