Daredevil
This Marvel Legends set has some glaring
problems. Daredevil is one of them.
Daredevil
Fearless Survivor
Marvel Knights/2/2/2
Concealed/Range
Daredevil gets +3 ATK while in combat with a
character with an opposing character with
greater cost.
The problem with Marvel Legends is that not
every card is playable. Well, okay, that’s true
for every set, but Legends is more mediocre that
spectacular. I understand that there are some
great cards and great reprints, but the majority
is riddled with cards like Daredevil.
Characters have a Concealed problem, for
starters. All characters in Marvel Legends are
either Concealed or Visible, never Concealed –
Optional. That’s just super lame, because now
you have to rethink every hidden character you
play from Marvel Legends. On a side note, every
single equipment in Marvel Legends has Concealed
– Optional…
But back to Daredevil. He’s so lackluster, it’s
not even funny. 2/2 for 2 is horrible. Black
Panther is a 2/2 for 1. The fact that he HAS to
be concealed means that you can’t even get a
defensive pump from him.
Secondly, his effect is he gets +3 ATK against
higher costs. So he has 5 ATK, and can take out
some 3 drops. And can’t attack any other
characters. Because he’s lame like that…
Sealed: 2/5
Constructed: 1/5
Now that I think about it, most of the low drops
are seriously underpowered…

Daredevil, Fearless Survivor
(Marvel Knights)
2 cost, 2 ATK, 2 DEF, Range
Concealed
Dardevil gets +3 ATK while in combat with an
opposing character with greater cost.
I'm pretty sure
I've said it before, but I really like the new
look of the cards in this set. Lets see... Mr.
Daredevil here is a 2/2 for 2, which is pretty
standard fare. He gets +3 when in combat with a
higher cost character. Lets think for a sec...
the average 3 cost character is a 3/4, so this
isn't too bad. The average 4 cost character is
a 7/7. So, unless you have other plot twists
that you want to throw on this guy who will
almost definitely get stunned, he's only going
to be useful for two turns. Of course, since
his ability is 'in combat', this makes your
opponent have to work about around him. Over
all, not a bad 2 drop. Not great, but not bad
either.
Sealed: 4/5 He's cheap, has ranged, and he can
make the game much harder for your opponent. On
top of that, unless I'm mistaken, he's common.
So you've got a good shot of getting multiple
copies in sealed.
Constructed: 2/5 Not my favorite 2 drop for
the Marvel Knights, but still not an awful card
in general. |

Daredevil -
Fearless Survivor. 2 Drop. 2/2. Range.
Concealed. This effect is actually good. He can
attack that 3 drop, and probably stun it. He can
attack that four drop with a substantial pump,
and it looks at the table. He can go in a weenie
rush or straight curve. I really like the
concealed. Nice touch.
Sealed - 4.0 (He helps "cross attacks" (attacks
where one character attacks up the curve and
another one down) a lot. Also helps that he's
hiding in the shadows, waiting to say "hi".
Concealed (heh), I mean Constructed - 4.0 (He
will punch that three drop in the face. I’m
pretty sure of it.) |

Daredevil,
Fearless Survivor
This version of Daredevil is great for all
formats.
He's a 2/2 for 2 (which is small) that becomes a
5/2 when attacking anything cost 3 or higher. He
also gets the bonus if he's attacked too,
although since he's hidden that won't be too
often. He combos well with Dark Alley, since his
natural bonus, plus the DEF pump from the Alley
makes him on par with most 3's.
Great in Limited play too, since he can be
underdropped on 3 without hurting too much.
3.5/5 |

They made a
film about Daredevil. It had Ben Affleck in it.
Ben Affleck is friends with Matt Damon. The
words Matt Damon are funny.
That’s our intro for today.
Daredevil <> Fearless Survivor: Cost 2: Range:
Concealed: Marvel Knights
When DD is in combat with a higher cost
character he gets +3 attack. So that’s good.
Basically you’ve got a 5 attack 2 drop you can
kamikaze into your opponents 3. And if he’s
still around later on he makes for a nice team
attacker.
DD is concealed and like all concealed
characters he’s not really going to be attacked.
That’s a bonus for low level characters because
you don’t have to worry about leaving them
unprotected (Unless your opponent is sneaky).
And it fits with the whole Knights theme.
I’d suggest you pimp up Daredevil with some
equipment like a katana or guns so he can really
go nuts attacking up the curve and taking out
higher characters.
That’s all I got.
Matt Damon.
Sealed: 4
Constructed: 3
