[PUBLIC
SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT WATCH THE SIMPSONS
MOVIE. IT IS THE WORST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN.]
Skrull are everywhere. Bendis told me. Bendis is
always right. You could be a Skrull. Maybe you
don’t even know it. Bendis said so. I trust
Bendis. Bendis is probably not a Skrull.
Super Skrull <> K’lrt: Cost 6: 11/11: Flight,
Range: Skrull
Super Skrull is probably a Skrull. I have
deduced this from the fact the he has Skrull in
his name. Plus he looks like a Skrull.
When Super Skrull gets 2 or more affiliations
(easy) he gets +3 defence. When he gets 3 or
more affiliations (medium) he gets an additional
+3 attack. When he gets 4 or more affiliations
(hard) he also gets “activate make opponent lose
6 endurance”. Finally if you complete the game
with Super Skrull on 5 or more affiliations (v.hard)
you can select turbo mode and change the colour
of your characters. I might have made the last
part up.
Simply put, he’s far more trouble than he’s
worth.
Do you need anymore than that?

Super Skrull
The Skrull needs more low drops, but this Skrull
is pretty cool.
Super Skrull
Skrull/6/11/11
Flight/Range
Super Skrull gets +3 DEF while he has two or
more affiliations.
He gets +3 ATK while he has three or more
affiliations.
He has “Activate > Target opponent loses 6
endurance” while he has four or more
affiliations.
This is a bad card. 6/11/11 flight and range is
bad. If you team him up, he becomes an average
11/14. If you run even more teams, a 14/14,
which is good. Four teams give you a burn
effect.
If you actually get 4 team affiliations and
thought it’d be a good idea to also run this six
drop, you are crazy. There are much better Six
Drops you can run, I can assure you of that and
they’d have more broken effects. This? This is
nothing. 4 teams for a 6 burn? Not worth it.
And if you’re thinking about running 4 teams in
a draft, you most likely already lost.

Super Skrull is so cool…

Super Scrull, Kl'rt (Skrull)
6 cost, 11 ATK, 11 DEF, Flight/ Range
Super Skrull gets +3 Def while he has two or
more affiliations.
He gets +3 ATK while he has three more more
affiliations.
He has "Activate>> Target opponent loses 6
endurance." while he has four or more
affiliations.
Well, now. This
is kinda cute. His base stats are weaker than
the average 6 drop, but his first and second
abilities might make up for that, if you are
playing with alot of random affiliations in your
deck and ways to team them all up. If Super
Skrull has 3 Affiliations, he is a 14/14. If
you can have that on him when you drop him turn
6, he can be prettys scary.
Sealed: 2/5 Play this guy only if you don't
have anything else better for turn 6.
Constructed: 3/5 Not amazing, and hard to make
better, but if you can make him better at the
right time, he could be fun. |

Super Skrull
Sealed: 5/5
Constructed: 2/5
This would be the first time that I have ever
rated higher Sealed then Constructed and my
second five this week. This is a great card to
find buried in a Marvel Team Up pack. Not only
is this a decent six drop (which keeps it's
rating in a constructed deck up), the benefits
when using multiple teams and affiliations is
huge. The Super Skrull can become a round six
powerhouse with these additions.
As a constructed card, I only give this a two.
Multiple team decks are hard to construct, hard
to manage and even harder to win with. While the
Skrull keeps a decent six drop card, I wouldn't
recommend building a Skrull/any other team deck,
it would be too weak. |

When I seen
this in the MTU set, my heart rose and sank
simultaneously. By the time this was available,
the Skrull deck was well on it's way to 5-6 turn
kills. However, all may not be lost. Because of
the order of his effects, he may be a good
finisher for a modern Midnight Sons (read:
Neighborhood Watch) or Wild Pack (yeah, if you
like that kind of thing) deck.
2.5 in Modern, 1.5 in Silver, 1.0 in Golden. |
