Midnight
Massacre
What a cool name for a card…
Midnight Massacre
Plot Twist/3
Target Underworld attacker you control gets +3
ATK this attack. If that character is hidden,
move it to your visible area and it gets +3 DEF
this attack.
It’s Clobberin’ Time. For Underworld. And most
Underworld characters are hidden, so this is a
good card. If you’re playing lots of hidden, use
it. If not, there are other pumps that don’t
rely on you being in the hidden area. In sealed,
if you got lots of Underworld, this card is a
beast.
Sealed: 4/5
Constructed: 4/5
And I’m out…

Midnight Massacre
3 Cost Plot Twist
Target Underworld attack you controll gets +3
ATK this attack. If that character is hidden,
move it to your visible area and it gets +3 DEF
this attack.
Yay for making Underworld attackers
bigger! If played right, this card can be a
real pain in your opponants butt. +3/+3 is
pretty solid.
Sealed: 2/5 Not so good here, as you'll be
looking for Hidden Underworld cards to use with
it.
Constructed: 4/5 Considerably more usable in
Constructed (I almost typed Raid... shows where
MY mind is), this card can ruin your opponents'
day. |

Midnight
Massacre
Sealed: 3/5
Constructed: 5/5
Here's a great card that can turn the tide in
those wonderful mid round battles. Adding a
+3/+3 to a hidden underworld character in the
third to fifth round can turn the game all the
way around quickly. Combo this card up with
Hidden Underworld characters as they come into
play, and you can turn the tide quickly.
The downfall to this card comes in sealed deck
play. When you can't control how many of this
card or Underworld cards you have, it can be a
nice addition, if you can get it to pop up at
the right time. Combined with "Search your deck
for any plot twist..." type cards and plenty of
Underworld characters, and you have a gem. |

I'm won't kid
you, I like this team and this card, but I want
to give a fair review nonetheless. The game is
extremely fast now, with teams in modern aiming
for 5-6 turn kills at the latest. Rush-down is
prevalent and stall needs to be on point to
stand a chance, which brings me to this card. I
like the fact that you can move them from hidden
to visible and it's a +3/+3. I don't like that
the +3 defense is conditional to the being
hidden and that the cost is 3. That's two turns
of beating before I use this pump.
Modern - 4.0
Silver - 3.5
Golden - 2.0 (Golden is just way too fast for
this now). |

[PUBLIC
SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT WATCH THE SIMPSONS
MOVIE. IT IS THE WORST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN.]
So umm, that Ghost Rider movie didn’t entirely
suck. Sorry, that’s all I have for the intro.
Midnight Massacre: Plot Twist: 3
It’s a reasonable card for the Underworld team.
The least it will do for you is a late +3 attack
without the optional extras of range/flight we
come to expect from the standard +3 attack
pumps. The best it will do is give you +3 attack
and + 3 defence if you have a hidden Underworld
character, which it will force you to move to
the visible area. So you can’t really use
multiple copies on one character, whilst
benefiting from the card’s defensive increase.
Also the increase is for the attack not the
turn.
It’s okay, but not exactly amazing.
Sealed: 2
Constructed: 3
