Daredevil was
played by Ben Affleck in a movie. In a different
movie Ben Affleck “starred” alongside Matt
Damon. The words Matt Damon are funny.
Also the words
Ben Affleck are kind of funny.
And today we
look at Daredevil <> Kitchen Cleanser.
Now I know,
this card has a stupid name, but I still love it
to pieces. I really do. Both artwork and ability
adopt a messianic and self-sacrificial tone
which fully encapsulates the character of Matt
Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil.
He’s doing
everything he can to save you, and it’s hurting
him to do so.
Put in game
terms, by using Daredevil’s ability you can
remove any number of target attackers from an
attack. You’ll lose endurance equal to the total
cost of those attackers. But since the attackers
were removed from the attack they will not ready
and will remain exhausted (i.e. they can not
attack you again).
So you see, in
the end you were saved, but not without a cost.
Biblical
parallels aside, Daredevil can not only stop
team, but also individual attacks, and he can
use his ability to protect any character you
control. And you can even use him as an
emergency get out clause, should you have
launched an attack which has backfired badly.
Daredevil is
team stamped but since Marvel Knights has the
best search card of any team (Wild Ride), you
could easily throw him in any stall deck you
like. Or simply add him to a Marvel Knights deck
to help control the game.
I’m trying to
be objective here, but as I said before, I
really do love this card to pieces.
