Tag Team
This week we
have chosen cards that are making a comeback
on the tournament scene. To start off the
week, we are going to take a look at a
popular card in Sentinel curve decks - Tag
Team.
Tag team is a
really great card not only for Sentinel
curve decks, but also for Fantastic Four
decks. (Keep in mind that the
4-drop invisible Woman reinforces all FF
characters.) Tag team is a great defense
card as it gives a reinforced defender a
+2/+2 boost. Now not only can you save your
character from being stunned, but you also
stand a good chance of stunning their
character in return. Now I realize that you
may not have the room for this card in a
Fantastic Four or FF variation deck, but
there is no reason you shouldn't have 4 of
these in a Sentinel curve deck (as Mark V
reinforces all army Sentinel characters).
Ratings
Constructed -
3.5/5.0 ....This card is a great addition to
Sentinel and FF decks
Limited -
1.0/5.0 ....You cannot find reinforced
characters easily in this setting

Tag Team – Even
though this card has the almighty Titans
pictured on it, it has seen lots of play with
Sentinel decks. This card is a must in any deck
that has a concentration of reinforcement tricks
in it. The +2 ATK/DEF bonus as a defender with
reinforcement is enough many times to cause a
stun to the attacker without your defender
getting stunned in return. With a cost of 2
makes this card pretty cheap to run in almost
any deck.
Constructed: 3/5 – A +2 boost to both ATK and
DEF one can never go wrong while defending. I
would rate this card a 4.5 in a deck that
concentrates on reinforcement and character
placement.
Limited: 2.5/5 – Many times in Limited you wont
be able to draft an entire team with the same
team stamp to make the best use out of this
card. However from this DC set it is much easier
to draft characters that are teammates. Still it
is situational in Limited thus getting an
average rating.

Tag Team
We're turning back the clock this week and
taking a look at cards that have seen a
resurgence lately.
First up is Tag Team, a common plot twists from
DC Origins. I pretty much dismissed this card
when I first started cracking DC packs, and I'm
still not as impressed with it. +2/+2 is a nice
pump, and will surprise a lot of attackers, but
it's a little too situational for my tastes.
It'd be better if it something like "Exhaust a
character you control, target defender you
control gets +2/+2 this attack".
Since it boosts both attack and defense, you can
either keep a guy alive, stun the defender back,
or both if you're lucky. It's a nice surprise to
spring, although it doesn't do a whole lot if
you're down to one character.
In Limited, you'll see 2 or 3 copies of this
card, and even a small boost in attack or
defense is huge in this format. There's still
the problem of being abot to reinforce the
attacker, but if it saves your character, it'll
be worth it. Worth putting a couple of copies
into your deck.
