Press the Attack
Today we end our
comeback week with a card I am sure everyone
is somewhat familiar with - Press the
Attack.
Press the Attack
first made its introduction in various
weenie rush decks (i.e. Skrulls and Gotham
Light) as a way to either provide a.)
character boost or b.) drawing power.
However, the success of these decks caused
everyone to throw Flame Trap or Thing into
their decks and so these decks somewhat died
out. Hence, Press the Attack began
gathering dust in many card boxes. Now,
with the on-going success of TT and B&B, we
are starting to see a re-emergence of this
card back onto the tournament scene.
If you have 4 or
more exhausted characters on the field, then
you may ready target character. With an
effect like that, you can easily see why
this card was made for TT, B&B, and various
weenie decks. If you are running TT or B&B,
then use this card as a combo with Roy
Harper, or just plain use it for some extra
BEL since you are not limited as you are
with Teen Titans Go. I can even see this
card being played late game in a X-stall
deck so that you can ready puppet master and
use his effect again.
Bottom line - If
you play any type of deck with many smaller
characters, or you use a lot of activated
powers, you should at least find room for a
couple of copies of this card in your deck.
They are well worth it!
Ratings:
Constructed -
3.0/5.0 ....However this card is a 4.0/5.0
in any of the above decks mentioned.
Limited -
2.5/5.0 ....You won't always have
4 exhausted characters on the field in this
format, but if you are able to pull this
card off then the impact is huge.
