Hey all, and welcome back to the VS Deck Garage!
Sorry I missed out on the last week; school managed
to catch up with me, so I was spending a *ton* of
free time working on stuff like the exciting world
of Business Law.
Anyways, since I don’t think any of y’all have had a
reminder over the last week or two – if you want to
see your deck in the VS Deck Garage, drop me an
e-mail at Hagan0001@aol.com,
and don’t forget to include all of the information
you think I should know. What Characters do you want
to keep? Which can go away? What Plot Twists were
you thinking about adding? What decks are giving you
the most trouble? Tell me everything, and I’ll see
what I can do for you.
Anyways, this week, I received an e-mail from a
Loyal Brotherhood Supporter, who has proclaimed that
he will continue to play Brotherhood, even though
friends are telling him it ain’t no good no more.
Let’s see what we can do to help! Here’s the e-mail…
this is my TNB deck, haven't had much help from
anyone because they say that brotherhood are going
down the tubes, but i am loyal and have decided to
stick with them.
here's my decklist:
4 Lorelei (1)
4 Phantazia (1)
4 Pyro (2)
4 Toad (2)
4 Quicksilver (3)
4 Rogue (3)
4 Blob (4)
4 Sauron (4)
1 Feral Rage (4)
4 Magneto, Eric Lehnsherr (5)
4 Lost City
2 Avalon Space Station
4 Acrobatic Dodge
4 Flying Kick
2 Surprise Attack
4 TNB
3 War on Humanity
I have seen you do wonders before with other
people's decks, please help me here!
If you suggest Quicksilver, Speed Demon (5), I will
buy 4 off [an online auction site], otherwise
Magneto will just have to do.
Another thing, this deck is centered around powering
up my characters AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, and savage
land is not so good. But Lost City works REALLY WELL
with Avalon Space Station. Do you agree or disagree,
please help me out here.
what should i change in order to ATTACK AS FAST AS
POSSIBLE AND DEAL TREMENDOUS AMOUNTS OF DAMAGE?
my friends have been whoopping me with big
brotherhood and sinister syndicate control. PLEASE
HELP ME!!!
The first thing I want to do is get rid of Lorelei
and put in Destiny. Lorelei has a decent ability,
but nothing spectacular. Meanwhile, Destiny allows
you to start going nuts with endurance loss
extremely early in the game. We won’t mention what
happens when a Sabretooth, Feral Rage gets onboard
with an active Destiny.
-4 Lorelei, Savage Land Mutant
+4 Destiny, Irene Adler
Next, at one point, I would have said that Phantazia
belonged in the next slot, but with the release of
Web of Spider-Man on the horizon, I think there is a
new 1-Drop in town: Thornn, Feral Hunter. You have a
free pump by discarding *any* card in your hand, and
she can be swinging for five on first turn with an
active The New Brotherhood. Sounds good to me, so…
-4 Phantazia, Eileen Harsaw
+4 Thornn, Feral Hunter
I have zero complaints regarding our contributors’
(y’all have to send me at least a first name, I feel
bad not giving credit to a name for a deck!) choice
of 2-Drops and 3-Drops, so I won’t change those.
However, I think we can get away with only playing
six 3-Drops, so why don’t we lose a couple of Rogue,
Anna Raven, especially since we’ll be making good
use of Quicksilver and Lost City. I don’t think we
really need nine 4-Drops hanging out in the deck, so
I’m going to cut a copy of Sauron.
-2 Rogue, Anna Raven
-1 Sauron, Dr. Karl Lycos
I understand that Sabretooth, Feral Rage can be a
pain to get, so I’m assuming that is the reason this
deck only has one copy. However, if not, then I
would suggest pulling *all* copies of Sauron in
favor of the house-like Sabretooth.
I would normally recommend Post, Kevin Tremain out
of Web of Spider-Man for the 5-Drop slot, but since
our contributor is running Lost City, I think
Quicksilver, Speed Demon is a better call. We’ll let
a couple of Magneto still hang out, though.
-2 Magneto, Eric Lehnsherr
+4 Quicksilver, Speed Demon
Next, I completely agree with a full set of The New
Brotherhood and, since our contributor really likes
it, Lost City. The two Avalon Space Station should
come in handy, but I don’t really think more are
needed. I would recommend, however, that we throw in
a couple Genosha, especially with Magneto in the
deck.
+2 Genosha
Under Plot Twists, I think this deck really should
be going for the throat. Thus, I say we get rid of
Acrobatic Dodge and add in Mega-Blast. The reason I
say that over Savage Beatdown is, again, price
limitations (see: Sabretooth, Feral Rage above).
Also, you’ll notice that a lot of Brotherhood
characters are only average or less on the backside,
meaning more often than not, if your opponent wants
them stunned, they will be.
-4 Acrobatic Dodge
+4 Mega-Blast
Finally, I’ve come to believe that War on Humanity
is not too useful, especially since all of the
Brotherhood guys have a small backside (see above).
In its place, why don’t we try to keep the playing
field level with Ka-Boom! The only decks it
shouldn’t be effective against is Fantastic Four and
Spider-Friends, so be careful in those match-ups.
-2 Surprise Attack
-3 War on Humanity
+2 Ka-Boom!
That about wraps up work on this deck, so let’s
check out what the finished product looks like…
CHARACTERS (36):
4 Destiny, Irene Adler
4 Thornn, Feral Hunter
4 Pyro, St. John Allerdyce
4 Toad, Mortimer Toynbee
4 Quicksilver, Pietro Maximoff
2 Rogue, Anna Raven
4 Blob, Fred Dukes
3 Sauron, Dr. Karl Lycos
1 Sabretooth, Feral Rage
2 Magneto, Eric Lehnsherr
4 Quicksilver, Speed Demon
LOCATIONS (8):
2 Avalon Space Station
2 Genosha
4 Lost City
PLOT TWISTS (16):
4 Flying Kick
4 Ka-Boom!
4 Mega-Blast
4 The New Brotherhood
I hope that helps in the good fight against Big
Brotherhood and Syndicate!
That about wraps up this week’s VS Deck Garage.
Remember, if you’d like to see your deck in the
Garage, drop me an e-mail at

I’ll get back with you as soon as possible.
