Upper Deck ‘s “SPECTRAL SAFARI” Event For the World of Warcraft Miniatures March 14-15, World Wide!
Spectral Tiger World of Warcraft® Loot™ Card is Grand Prize in One-Day, Sealed Tournament! Only in Select Hobby Stores!
North Las Vegas, NV (March 6, 2009) – The hunt is on with Upper Deck’s “Spectral Safari,” a global, one-day World of Warcraft® Miniatures Game tournament only at select hobby stores on March 14 and 15, 2009. The victor of each individual “Spectral Safari” tournament will bag one of the biggest World of Warcraft® trophies, a Spectral Tiger Loot™ card! Visit WoWMinis.com to find a location near you!
Recipient of the 2008 Diamond Gem Award “Game Product of the Year,” the World of Warcraft Miniatures Game launched to great acclaim in November, 2008. The “Spectral Safari” is the first elite Organized Play event for this dynamic new game and features unbeatable prizes! On March 14 and 15, World of Warcraft Miniatures Game players should head to their local hobby store to battle it out for the most sought-after Loot™ cards yet. Hobby stores the world over will host these exclusive, sealed tournaments, giving everyone a chance to take part in the hunt! Anyone who enters will have an opportunity to win great prizes.
In addition to a Spectral Tiger Loot™ card for first place, high level finishers will receive Minis boosters. Plus, a Red Baron Loot card will be a door prize at each location. And if that’s not enough, every participant from around the world will automatically be entered into a drawing to have their World of Warcraft online character made into a Mini! One player and one judge will be randomly chosen and announced on the World of Warcraft Miniatures Game website in April.
“As part of the World of Warcraft brand, the Spectral Tiger has been hugely popular, and we wanted to give people another chance to get this great card, while also getting a taste of our newest game,” said Scott Gaeta, Upper Deck’s Director of Marketing and Organized Play. “The World of Warcraft Miniatures Game started attracting a great following even before it launched, and this hobby store-only event is an exclusive opportunity for new players to try out the game, and get a shot at a Loot™ card.”
