World of Weeniecraft

by DanHibiki
So then - you've gotten your packs, looked through them, but
what's this? You STILL can't put together a deck that works
well with itself? tsk tsk, luckily you've come to the right
place.
My name is DanHibiki, I've been playing TCGs for years, and
before people ask, no - I don't play the online game... yet.
Hopefully, everyone can get something out of these articles,
no matter how experienced or otherwise... so let us begin!
In WoWTCG there seem to be 2 recurring themes for the
alliance faction. the ELUSIVE ability, and cards that get
more powerful with allies on your side of play. what are
some of these cards, you ask? well the most basic of them
all is the simple Tracker Gallen from the Demo Decks.
Tracker Gallen 2
Tracker Gallen has +1 ATK for each ally in your party.
0/2
The potential for Gallen is very obvious, for many decks it
could be a struggle to keep him around as an efficient
piece, sometimes even struggling to maintain a healthy 2/2
for 2, conveniently, in a deck built to use and control the
number of allies you have, Gallen will rarely have less than
4 ATK making him a VERY fearsome number
Kailis Truearc 1
Kailis Truearc has +2ATK and +2 Health while there are four
or more allies in your party
1/1
Lets see here ... normally an easy to overlook card, because
it's simply a vanilla 1 for 1/1, with a hard to trigger
ability. once again, like gallen, in this deck you should
pretty much always have Kailis as a 3/3 in this deck,
allowing you to swarm these beauties to your hearts content
The Defias Brotherhood
While there are four or more allies in your party, pay 1 to
complete this quest
Reward : Draw 2 cards
simply WoW, pay 1 to draw 2 cards? oh wait ... gee what an
icky requirement, but once again this deck's versatility
prevails
the above cards are the decks reason for existence, but they
still can't function without solid game play... how do you
assure yourself that you can consistently draw cards and
play allies? lets start with one of the more truly important
parts of this deck, the quests
Are We There, Yeti
normally, Pay 6, get some weenies but in this deck, it says
'Pay 6, get some weenies, fulfill the requirements for
Defias Brotherhood and Kailis Truearc, plus pump up tracker
gallen' - to not use it would be madness
Tooga's Quest
Only really here to provide an emergency token, plus it also
takes a lot of the focus off of your other allies as targets
- plus if you get to draw those 2 cards, it's good news for
you
Battle of Darrowshire
It's nice and cheap in this deck, plain and simple
Kibler's Exotic Pets
no reason to NOT use this
Into the Maw of Madness
do you even need a reason?
So then, those are the quests you should consider for this
deck - but what about the Hero? depending on your
play-style, most of the classes are good for a simple deck
like this, and here is why
WARRAX - battle shout, and he can become a protector in a
pinch - plus he is nice and bulky
BORIS - he can heal himself or your allies, he can use power
word fortitude to increase someone's health, plus you can
dispel magic all of those painful DoT abilities
DIZDEMONA - Sarmoth's Lightning rod ability makes him too
good to NOT mention
GRACCUS - can turn himself into a protector, can negate
damage, and his Aura's make your allies either a lot harder
to kill, or a lot more fearsome for the final attack
ELENDRIL - Ravenous bites, rayder, marked for death -
Elendril is a fairly obvious choice for a purely aggro rush
style for this deck
What other Allies?
Obviously a deck as ally dependent as this can't live
without friends - so lets add some! Elusive characters, and
characters that give some nice buffs/abilities to the party
are ideal
Apprentice Teep, Latro Abiectus, Braxxis the Sleeper
just helpful to have around... Braxxis for a nice fatty to
end the game with
Nerra Lifeboon
she keeps you people alive for longer, and will be singled
out as a target, keeping your weenies around
Milo The Unmerciful
nice stats, and his ability is useful, against a heavier
deck he would be sided out for moira though
Parvink
it's parvink...
Medoc Spiritwarden
Recycling is good for the environment, and bad for your
opponent's
so lets look at the whole deck now
Hero: GRACCUS
Allies: 25
4 Tracker Gallen
4 Kailis Truearc
4 Parvink
3 Apprentice Teep
2 Latro Abiectus
2 Braxxis the Sleeper
2 Milo the Unmerciful

Abilities: 15
4 Sacred Duty
4 Blessing of Protection
