You know I was totally set to not like this week but
this card has changed my mind.
Basically what this card does is add 1 cost to every
ability in your deck in return your ranged weapon
gets + 2 for that extra cost.
Sweet deal. Hunter Rush might not utilize this card(
they like their melee weapons) but other variants of
the decktype might abuse this card.
The 2 defense is a bit low for the initial cost
though so it's going to knock my rating down a bit
Sealed: 3/5
Constructed: 3/5
Casual: 3/5
Raid: 4/5
The faster you end a raid the better.
Dragonstalker's Legguards is pretty much built to
help you do just that

Apparently, this
week is "Molten Core: Hunter Style" week. I'll note
right off that this is the first of the MC stuff
that I've seen, so if my reviews seem poor, feel
free to flame me or help me understand stuff by
emailing me at DarrisHellBinde@yahoo.com. Thanks.
This also means that I STILL can't do a "MC Raid"
rating, cuz I don't know enough about MC Raid deck.
Sorry.
So, we start with:
Dragonstalker's Legguards
4 Cost Armor- Mail Legs (1)
2 Defense
When you play a (Hunter) ability, you may pay 1. If
you do, arget Ranged weapon has +2 ATK this turn.
Wow. Thats pretty cool. I like it. Later in the
game, play a ton of hunter abilities and spend a
little bit of resources... You can start blowin'
stuff away pretty well. I don't really have much
strategy for this card... its pretty well self
explanatory. I like it. :)
Sealed: 1/5 Well... you can't really get this card
in Sealed, so I can't very well give it a good
score, now can I??
Constructed: 4/5 Hunters will love this card.
Casual: 4/5 Same as constructed.
Raid (Onyxia): 4/5 Great way to help finish off the
dragon towards the end of the game.
Raid (MC): 4/5.... I think.... I can't say for sure,
but since this card is great every place else, I
think here it would probably be the same as before.

Today is the
first day of Molten Core Hunter week and we'll begin
with Dragonstalker's Legguards.
Let's look at the cost. Since the DL's cost is 4 the
earliest you'll see it is turn 4 which is pretty
good. You also get two armor for the cost which is
pretty nice as well.
The effect of DL is pretty good and by the looks of
it you can use it multiple times in one turn. Should
this ever happen you can tack on some extra damage
at the cost of one resource.
So how good is this piece of armor? I'd say if you
have this card and you use a hunter then use this
card. The best deck for this would be a solo hunter
deck where you would use a significant amount of
abilities. The armor value is good and the effect
can help dish out some extra damage for a few
resources.
All formats: 4.5 out of 5 - not quite perfect but
still very awesome. It would nice if the +2 bonus
would go for any hunter weapon, but alas...
"A goony goo goo."

When you play a Hunter ability, you may pay 1.
If you do, target Ranged weapon has +2 ATK this
turn.
At a cost of 4, 2 Def isn't fantastic but thats not
where the treasure lies here. The effect is pretty
sweet but its quite a costly combo. Lets say you
play Dragonstalker's Legguards, thats 4 resources.
Then you play the Hunter ability Arcane Shot, thats
another 2 resources. Then you pay another 1 for
Dragonstalker's Legguards power. Thats seven
resources. However it won't be that expensive next
turn. So it could be a solid investment with a
weapon like Ancient Bone Bow.
Also, try this with Rapid Fire and you're looking to
deal some pretty mean damage. That would be 2 Atk
for Ancient Bone Bow, +2 for Dragonstalker's
Legguards and then you can ready them both and
attack again. Thats a whopping total of 8 damage!!
Not the most competative strategy, in my opinion,
due to its slow tempo but used correctly it could be
pretty devastating.
Sealed: 2/5
Constructed: 3/5
Casual: 4/5
Raid: 2/5
The art is pretty cool on this card, but nothing to
get excited over in my opinion, 3/5
