King Magni Bronzebeard
Cost 9
Ally – Dwarf – Warrior - Unique
At the end of each turn, put an Alliance Dwarf
Warrior ally token with 1 ATK and 1 health into
play.
Dwarves in your party have protector.
6/8
Ok
last card of the week and we come to a fan favorite
though i'm not sure why but lets take a look I have
been known to change my opinion on some cards by
reviewing them.
OK
his cost is very steep in my opinion 9 for a 6/8 is
nothing special. His ability lets you put little 1/1
dwarf ally tokens into play… Eh nothing great you
can get tokens for 2 from ancient cornerstone
grimore. Dwarves get protector, this is kind of
interesting because it effects your hero as well but
again this is a turn 9 drop and I don’t want to be
waiting till turn 9 to get defenders.
I
know in control decks you can be making it to turn 9
easy but the thing that worries me is cards like
trophy kill and shred soul, these cards are in both
hunter and warlock format and are in heavy use and
then there is the gumburashi dwarf destroyer that is
a silver bullet for this guy. I just don’t see him
attacking so paying 9 for something that produces
1/1 tokens is just junk, for 5 you can have 3 barvo
tokens for 6 3 yeti tokens and 2 you can have a
skeleton token, granted 2 of those sets of tokens
die but they will be there when you need them.
Sealed (4) this is his best place, if you draft or
pull alliance and this is one of your cards then
golden play him and do well, there is little removal
in this format but if there is any he will be
targeted.
Constructed (2) just a poor use of resources there
are so many better things you can do with 9
resources and a card slot in your deck.
Casual (3) Building a dwarf deck and making a
dwarves army is fun no joke but what will you do
with said army once its built besides annoy the
living heck out of your opponent.
Raid (ONY)(1) Ah yah nope not going to fly in
this format.
(RAG)(2) Turn 9 rag you should be on boss 6-8 and there are
allies who will just smoke this guy into kingdom
come, not worth the 9 resources.
