Hello everyone, this is my first COTD review, so I
hope you enjoy it.
Wraith Scythe
Melee
Cost: 4
When your hero deals combat damage, it heals that
amount of damage from itself.
Interesting weapon. On it's own it deals 2 heals 2,
but any deck that would be running this is gonna
have deathdealer breastplate and stronghold
gauntlets. That means dealing 5 damage and healing
5. It's pretty good against Onyxia because it'll
keep you alive, but you'll probably only use it's
effect once or twice before it's destroyed. Krol
blade and Cruel Hand would be much better options.
In constructed there are a lot of better options.
Annihilator, for one, doesn't heal you, but it cuts
right through armor. Even Deathbringer has a more
useful power, rending your opponent's protectors
useless.
Shamans are better off with just the annihilator,
and hunters have the ancient bone bow and krol
blade. Warriors and paladins have enough armor that
healing isn't really necessary. This card, however,
owns sealed format. With the lack of armor, healing
in a warrior deck, or even solodin, is invaluable.
Sealed: 4
Constructed: 2 (Too many better options)
Casual: 2
Raid: 2.5 (go for the Krol blade or Cruel Hand)

Wraith
Scythe
The
sight of this coming into play on an
armoured up Paladin or Warrior is often
enough to make you scoop; it’s just too hard
to do enough damage to offset their healing.
It’s insanely cheap to swing with, and with
the Deathdealer its damage/heal goes from
pretty good to great.

Welcome back, to yet another COTD review.
This time we’ll be looking at a Melee weapon, but to
be blunt about it, you don’t want to use this one a
a weapon.
I personally prefer the Annihilator as a Melee
weapon, it is also usable by the same classes and
has a better effect and lower costs.
You leave this card behind and move on, there are
better options out there.
Constructed 2/5: It isn’t all bad, but there are
better options available.
Artwork 3/5: I do like a big Axe, easy for wielding
down opponents.
See you on the Battlefield
Warchief Thrall

Wraith Scythe
Cost 4
Classes: Hunter, Paladin, Shaman, Warrior
Weapon – Axe
Melee (1)
When your hero deals combat damage, it heals that
amount of damage from itself.
2 Melee Damage and, 2 to swing.
OK looks like we are looking at a weapon today, now
we look at the cost and 4 is steep for a weapon that
only does 2 damage, I’m a little weary about this
card already but that’s ok. Now its class
restrictions are average all the regular axe
wielding classes nothing special there. Now we take
a look at its effect, cool really cool healing and
damage together is cool, it sends you and your
opponent in opposite directions or it can be used to
attack allies and not take so much of a beating in
return. We look at the 2 required to swing and
that’s ok as well that can be fixed by Skibi or some
gauntlets so that’s ok as well.
As far as weapons go this card is wonderfully
average. It is a card when put into the right deck
can do wonders… Take a look at my last article…
Go do it I will give you a sec… OK back cool. The
cards healing potential is as high as its damage
output. This is key, by adding in Rockbiter Weapon,
you add 2 to the attack now each time you swing your
healing 4 damage, now stack another one your doing 6
damage and healing 6, if you have a Wind totem out
and enough resources your doing 12 damage and
healing 12 damage… Now that’s a little excessive
and you’re not likely to see a huge combo like that
in tournament play, but you get my point.
Sealed (2): Hunter is about speed, Paladins will
like this, Shamans could sue it as well and Warriors
can use it as well, does it pay for itself over
time, that’s up to the user and their luck.
Constructed (2): I have never seen this card in
constructed play, but that does not mean it’s a bad
card just under used, just remember thunderheads
were underused at one point.
Casual (3): For you and your buddies having fun this
is a great card it has a duel purpose and can be a
great weapon to swing around.
Raid (2): In a dragons world of expendable weapons
this card is too much money for too little output,
it might buy you an attack of 2 and a heal of 2 but
for 6 resources that’s too high a cost.

Scythe 3/14:Rare; Weapon;"When your hero deals
combat damage, it heals that amount of damage from
itself." I myself play a Paladin deck and I love
cards like this. Build up some armor where you up
your weapon ATK and protect yourself with some
defense and youll be ready to smash. Theres nothing
better than hitting someone with the 11 atk you have
and then healing that much in return. Talk about a
game changer. Plus, its cost, though kinda high, is
still worth paying because of the benefits you gain
from this card, especially if you get stuck and cant
pull a Seal of Light out of your deck.

our card for today is the weapon Wraith
Scythe (axe)
A pay 4 to put in to play and pay 2 to
attack with...not good so far but when it deals
damage it your hero heal that much...ding ding
...this one is a winner, but still not the first
choice for an equip card. with armor on like
DeathDealer BreastPlate and Masions ring on that
is +3 to 2 which is 5 attack a.k.a. you heal
five if you deal the full five...Runs best in a
Paladin where you are playing seal of light
which allows you to heal 2 when you attack with
a weapon...+DeathDealer BreastPlate and Masions
ring you heal 7, deal 5, just for paying 2 to
attack...and what ever damage you take from the
fight you will most likely heal it all and then
some ....NICE
