Your hero deals 1 melee damage to terget hero or
ally. That damage counts as combat damage.
Well... this is where my knowledge fails me. I see
the point of Shiv. When you deal damage with it, it
counts as combat damage. This will trigger some card
abilities that happen "When combat damage is dealt".
But for the life of me, I can't think of any off the
top of my head and I'm in too much of a rush to look
any up. :)
Another up side to this card is its a Combo card, so
it helps your Finishing Move cards One downside,
though is that its not an Instant ability, another
is that its only 1 damage for 1 cost.
Sealed: 2/5 Not the best reason to chose to play a
Rogue in sealed.
Constructed: 3/5 I rate Shiv in the middle because I
can't think of any cards that work with it off the
top of my head, but I know that how the card is
supposed to work should be great.
Casual: 3/5 Same as constructed.
Raid: 2/5 In a Raid, Rogues should be looking to do
as much damage as possible. A meager 1 isn't really
worth it unless you have some killer combo (no pun
intended) set up.

SHIV
This is a non-instant 1 cost that does 1 combat
damage to a target hero or ally. The point is to be
able to use this to trigger the other Rogue cards
that require combat damage be dealt. This way, you
don’t have to actually attack with anything. It may
be only 1 damage, but you could side deck these
cards if you’re running a combo deck and bring them
in against a big protector line-up.
Constructed 2.0
Sealed: 2.0
Casual: 1.5
Raid: 3.0

Shiv
The only thing keeping this card from becoming godly
is the fact that it isn't an Instant Ability.
On the surface you might wonder what makes it so
good, as it's only a 1 cost card that deals 1 melee
damage to target hero or ally. But in keeping with
Rogue tradition, it's not the card that matters, but
the Combo you can pull off with it!
The last line of the effect text says it all: "That
damage counts as combat damage". This mean then that
any effect that requires combat damage to be
inflicted will activate after using Shiv, and all of
a sudden, you see how good this card is.
For example: your opponent just flopped Magni
Bronzebeard onto the field, and is building up an
army of Dwarf Tokens. You on the other hand, have
Devilsaur Leggings equipped, and just topdecked a
Shiv!
Shiv is also an inexpensive and easy method of
getting the Poison cards into play, making Shiv a
veritable staple for most Rogue builds out there.

Sealed, Constructed, Casual and Raid: 4/5 across the
board! Not every Rogue build will use it, but most
will with devastating results!
