Oh, hi Dragoon! Hello Pojo Readers, Crunch$G back here to do what I did last year with the 2019 Mega Tins and tell you all the adjustments in the tin and tell you what missed from each set. This year we have cards printed from Savage Strike, Dark Neostorm, Rising Rampage, Chaos Impact, and The Infinity Chasers alongside 4 new cards to the TCG. This article will tell you about all the new cards, all the rarity changes and what rarities they changed from, and any key misses from the sets included in the tin’s Mega Pack. Overall, I will say now they did a great job in not missing many of the big cards from the core sets last year and they did hit everything from Infinity Chasers in terms of new cards, so we should have a good list to go down.
The New Cards
First, let’s go over the 4 new cards. Unlike last year, these cards are not promos and are instead in the Mega Tin set. There are no promos overall this year, so no easy chances at certain cards. Out of the 4 cards, only 1 seems to have meta impact and we’ll get to that, but they are all overall fun cards. Successor Soul is a Quick-Play Spell that lets you tribute an Effect Monster to then target an opponent’s monster to send it to the graveyard in order to Special Summon any Level 7 or higher Normal Monster from Deck at the cost of only being able to attack once that turn. Strength in Unity is a Continuous Spell that lets you banish a card the opponent controls or is in their graveyard if you Ritual or Fusion Summon using either Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Dark Magician and can be sent to the graveyard to add any Level 7 or higher Normal 
Monster from your graveyard to your hand. Destined Rivals is a Normal Trap that lets you negate the effects of all monsters the opponent currently controls for the rest of that turn if you control Dark Magician or Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Finally, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon is a Fusion of Dark Magician and either Red-Eyes Black Dragon or any Dragon Effect Monster, can’t be destroyed by card effects nor can it be targeted with card effects, can destroy a monster during the Main Phase that the opponent controls and burns them for the ATK of that monster and you can do this once for each Normal Monster you used as Fusion Material, and as a Quick Effect once per turn can discard a card to negate the activation of a card or effect and then destroy that card and then it gains 1000 ATK if you destroy the card. Overall, these are all cool cards with the first 3 helping some fun Blue-Eyes or Dark Magician strategies while Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon will become a staple in many Decks alongside an engine to summon it due to its sheer power.
The Mega Packs
Now it’s time for the good part, the actual Mega Pack set. It is an overall 249 card set with 27 Prismatic Secret Rares, 50 Ultra Rares, 37 Super Rares, 21 Rares, and 114 Commons. Each pack will give you 1 Prismatic Secret Rare, 2 Ultra Rares, 2 Super Rares, 1 Rare, and 12 Commons which gives a haul of 3 Prismatic Secrets, 6 Ultras, 6 Supers, 3 Rares, and 36 Commons each tin. It offers good value in theory with all the foil cards, let’s just see what’s foil and what isn’t.

In Conclusion
Overall, I’d say Konami did fine with the tins this year. There are some great reprints in the set and not really anything big missing from the sets besides a handful of cool cards and the two banned cards with Ib and Agarpain. The rarities feel like missed opportunities where some cards could of gotten a rarity upgrade but didn’t. I won’t go into too much detail, but there were some wasted foil spots and really the only Infinity Chasers cards that deserved the foil slots they got were either the upgrades or chase cards when those slots could of went to the Commons from other sets. Still, there’s some great value in these tins and the foil upgrades we did get are nice and it’ll be great to get budget options for some of the best cards from the last year. Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon would be big though considering how strong it is to the point where it’s worth running the engine needed to summon it. It’s a great Mega Tin with a lot to offer for many, even if some of the archetype support missed from the core sets.
