Rilliona, the Magistus of Verre is a Level 4 LIGHT Spellcaster that upon Normal or Special Summon can either add a Magistus Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand or return one of your banished Level 4 or lower Spellcasters to the graveyard, and it can banish itself from the graveyard to equip a Magistus Monster you control with a non-Level 4 Magistus Monster from your graveyard. Endymion, the Magistus of Mastery is a Level 4 WATER Spellcaster who can equip a Magistus Monster you control with a Magistus Monster from the Extra Deck, and it can destroy a face-up Spell Card you control to let you draw a card and then return a card to the bottom of your Deck. Trismagistus is a Conitinuous Spell that prevents a Magistus Monster equipped with an Equip Card from being destroyed by battle the first time it would be and it can either use the effect to Special Summon a Level 4 Spellcaster from the hand or send this card to the graveyard to Special Summon as many Magistus Monsters with different names as you want from your hand. Magistus Theurgy is a Quick-Play Spell that can target a Magistus Monster you control and equip it with any Magistus Monster that isn’t a Level 4 Monster from your Extra Deck, graveyard, or face-up field or instead if you have at least 1 of each Magistus Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Link in your graveyard you can instead equip it with any non-Magistus Monster from the Extra Deck. Magistus Invocation is a Normal Spell that lets you Fusion Summon any Fusion Monster using Monsters from your hand or field as material, including a Spellcaster Monster, and if summoning a Magistus Fusion this way you can also use Monsters in the Spell/Trap Zone equipped to Magistus Monsters. Finally, Magistus Virtra is a Normal Spell that can target and Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Magistus Monster from your graveyard, and if a Magistus Card(s) in the Spell/Trap Zone would be destroyed by an opponent’s effect, you can banish this card from the graveyard instead.

The final archetype in this set is the Drytron archetype, an archetype based on the Draco Constellation that’s full of Level 1 Monsters with 2000 ATK meant to help Ritual Summon your big Level 12 Rituals with 4000 ATK while using ATK stats for the Ritual Summon. All the Level 1 Drytrons are LIGHT Machines that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, must be Special Summoned by a Drytron card, and can tribute another Drytron Monster or any Ritual Monster from your hand or field to revive itself in Defense Position at the cost of you being only able to Special Summon Monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set the turn you use these effects, and all Drytrons that summon themselves off their own effects gain a bonus effect you can use. Now for the 2 Rituals of the archetype, they’re both Level 12 LIGHT Machine Rituals with 4000 ATK and DEF that can be Ritual Summoned using Meteonis Drytron. Drytron Meteonis Draconids cannot be targeted by the opponent’s Monster effects, can attack all Special Summoned Monsters the opponent controls once each if Ritual Summoned using Monsters whose combined Levels is 2 or less, and as a Quick Effect during the opponent’s turn can banish Monsters from the graveyard whose exact combined ATK equals 2000 or 4000 to send a face-up card to the graveyard for each 2000 ATK. Drytron Meteonis Quadrantids cannot be targeted by the opponent’s Spell/Trap effects, lets you destroy all Spell/Traps the opponent controls if the combined Levels of the Monsters used to Ritual Summon it were 2 or less, and if destroyed after being Ritual Summoned you can revive different Drytrons from the graveyard whose combined ATK equals 4000. Meteonis Drytron is a Ritual Spell that lets you Ritual Summon any Ritual Monster by tributing Machine Monsters whose combined ATK equal or exceed the Ritual Monster’s ATK, and if it’s in your graveyard you can add it to your hand by targeting a Drytron Monster you control and having it lose 1000 ATK until the end of the opponent’s turn. Finally, Drytron Meteor Shower is a Counter Trap that when the opponent Normal or Special Summons a Monster while you control a Ritual Monster, you can negate the summon and shuffle that Monster into the Deck.
Noteworthy Reprints
Now time for the standard reprints for sets like these. Cyberse Gadget is a solid card getting its first reprint in here to support Live☆Twins, and you also got Backup Secretary to support the archetype and Cynet Regression in here. You also got World Legacy – “World Lance” to help the archetype since it is Link-focused, Beat Cop from the Underworld for another Link Monster for them to use, and you even got reprints for some of the Knightmares like Gryphon, Phoenix, and Unicorn. You got some reprints to help Magistus like Performage Hat Tricker, Star Drawing, Engraver of the Mark, and Performage Trick Clown while also supporting the lore with Invoked-related reprints of Aleister the Invoker of Madness getting its first reprint alongside The Book of the Law, Invoked Cocytus, and Invoked Magellancia. Drytron related reprints give you cards like Cyber Angel Benten, Cyber Emergency, Extra-Foolish Burial, Born from Draconis, and Herald of Ultimateness alongside a needed reprint and foil upgrade for Impcantaiton Chalislime. Finally you got some miscellaneous reprints for cards like Bottomless Trap Hole and Number 96: Dark Mist to round up the reprints in this set.
In Conclusion
This might be one of the most fun Deck Building Sets out of them all, in my opinion. Magistus are a cool archetype to extend the lore and support other Spellcaster-related themes potentially like Invoked, Shaddoll, and Dogmatika to name a few. The Ki-sikil and Lil-la Monsters are solid at least for a Link-2 engine and their own Link-2s are pretty good at the very least. Finally, you got Drytron as a Ritual Deck full of so many combos with using any Ritual Monsters since they’re the first Ritual archetype to use ATK stats for Ritual Summons instead of Levels. The reprints are fine overall, it’s nice to give a foil upgrade to Chalisilme, Aleister the Invoker of Madness needed reprints, and it’s good to put the Knightmares in here to give them Collectors Rare treatment. The Collectors Rares overall are solid as well with the weak link maybe being Beat Cop from the Underworld since we don’t need generic Link-2s for arrows anymore. Overall a nice Deck Bulding Set with a lot of rogue potential that could be top tier meta if they get more support or an F/L List shakes things up enough.
