Chris' Top 10 Saviour
Cards
These are by no means the
best cards in the game but they have got me out of a few tight corners in my
time as a duelist.
- 10 - Man-Eater Bug : This flip effect has the
potential to take out even the highest attacking monsters.
- 9 + 8 - Lord of D. + The Flute Of
Summoning Dragon : This combo has saved me many times when I have needed
to get my Blue-eyes and Tri-horned dragons onto the field without
tributes.
- 7 - Imperial Order : This trap prevents all magic
and trap cards being used for as long as it is in play. Very handy for
preventing Dark Holes.
- 6 - Dark Hole : Destroys all monsters on the
field. Always useful when you're in a tight spot. Especially when up
against Relinquished.
- 5 - Soul Exchange : Use one of your opponents
cards as a tribute. Very handy for eliminating those pesky Blue-eyes and
- 4 - Black Pendant : Increase any monsters
attack by 500 points and when it is sent to the graveyard inflict 500
points of direct damage to your opponents life points.
- 3 - Monster Reborn : What can I
say... revive one monster from either yours or your opponents
graveyard. Oh so useful!
- 2 - Thousand-eyes Restrict : This fusion
between the useless Thousand-eyes Idol and the mighty Relinquished
creates a monster who not only has the ability to absorb one of your opponents
monsters but also has the effect of stopping all of your opponents
monsters from attacking. (Technically this should be number 1 but my next
monster when used with Imperial Order can become almost unstopable)
- 1 - Sword Hunter : The
effect of this monster is awsome. It begins with an attack of a fairly
impressive 2450 but whenever this monster destroys another monster (regardless
of position) its attack and defence increase by 200. When used along
with Imperial Order there are no traps, Dark Holes or Raigenkis to
destroy this beauty of a card. The top attack I achieved with this monster was
an incredible 4650. The Sword Hunter is undoubtably my favourite
monster because of this brilliant effect.
