Subject: Top Ten List -
English Top Ten
First of all, I would like to
state that Pot of Greed is not included in this list for one reason: It will
always be the best card in the game until Konami makes a card with a 'Draw 3
cards' ability with no drawback. It's that simple and there is no disputing it.
Now, for the reason you clicked the link, my Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Top Ten
List!
10. Jinzo - This card used to be a lot better than it is.
When it first appeared in Pharaoh's Servent, everyone was running anywhere from
two to fifteen Trap cards, and you could take advantage of those fifteen Trap
card-users. Now most people have come to the realitization that only five Traps
are needed, which brings us to the next card.
9. Mirror Force -
The ability to wipe out all of your opponent's monsters in attack mode is great.
Its only drawback is the fact that it is a triggered-effect Trap, which means
you can only use its effect at a certain time. In this case, it's when your
opponent attacks.
8. United We Stand - The only two Equipe Magic
cards I considered were this card and Snatch Steal. Obviously this card beat it
out, for the simple fact that it has the potential to be more game-breaking than
Snatch Steal, First turn 3000-attack Gradius with two more 3000-attack Gradius's
Options and possible second-turn wins when put into combination with Hayabusa
Knight.
7. Sangan - Sangan lives in the shadow of Witch of the
Black Forest, but soon enough, there will be enough low-attack, effect monsters
worthy of being searched for, and there are already a few of them.
6.
Cyber Jar - Mass destuction and deck thinning in one card, this you have
to like. The only problem is, it's a very advanced card. Some people just throw
this card into their deck without thinking about how to use it. It's good, but
use with caution.
Let's take a break now.
I am halfway done. ... *Rests* ... Okay, that was a long enough break. Let's
continue.
5. Raigeki - You can't really say a whole lot about this
card except that it is quite good. It can be game-turning, or it can seal your
opponent's fate when correctly played.
4. Harpie's Feather Duster
- This is the M/T counterpart to Raigeki. It can clear the field of your
worries, and it can force your opponent to use that Imperial Order when he or
she doesn't want to.
3. Yata-Garasu - I almost have to include
the Hand Disruptors when I do this review. This card is very good alone, but
when in combination with Confiscation, The Forceful Sentry and Delinquent Duo,
you have the infamous 'Yata-Lock', which is almosyt always followed by 'I
concede.'
2. Imperial Order - This is the 'Haha, you don't win
card'. Sure, you can't use your own Magic cards, but its a free Magic Jammer
that lasts and lasts. At a cost of only seven hundred life points per turn, why
wouldn't you add this to any deck?!
1. Witch of the Black Forest -
This card is queen. It used to be the 'Oh, I think I'll get that Summoned Skull
now' card. Now it's the 'Oh, I think I'll get my Yata-Garasu - er... no wait - I
maybe should get Injection Fairy Lily - no... how about Cyber Jar?' card. It
really helps you in a pinch, and what's best is the fact that it only has to be
destroyed from the field, not by battle. So, if you have a Call of the Haunted
facedown and a Witch in the graveyard and your opponent plays M/T-Removal, you
can use your COTH in a chain. That way Witch is back and gone again, allowing
you to search for yet another monster! The same thing applies to
Sangan!
