Ok... i know it may seem a little random, but after discovering for myself that no matter what player you are... everyone tends to have at least 1 ultra rare in their deck... So in order for me to give tribute to them... i'll not only describe the cards ability but i'll also give you guys a scenario in why it's so great...
(starting from least to greatest 10-1)
10. Exodia the Forbidden One (Monster 1000/1000) - This card is here to represent the whole exodia deck themes that are running around... it's #10 on my list because of it's weaknesses... there are so many anti-exodia decks that it's not really safe to play this deck anymore... but it's always fun to play every now and again...
Scenario - have all the cards in your hand... wait for your opponent to say "are you done with your turn?"... then you say "no... I'M DONE WITH YOU" *drop cards in front of opponent... point and laugh at his misery...
9. Fiber Jar (Monster 500/500) - I put this card on the list specifically for it's "reset the game" capabilities... it's a good card... but not a staple...
Scenario - Midway into a duel... you're losing and you have nothing but magic cards and a Fiber Jar in your hand... place fiber jar face-down... let it be flipped ... *hope for the best...
8. Magic Jammer (Trap) - Extremely effective... if you don't want your opponent using any magic cards that may hinder your ability to win... *TRAP*... he can't use it... MUAHAHAHA... did someone say "Staple?"
Scenario - You have a full field of monsters on your side of the field... your opponent uses Raigeki... *TRAP*... can't use that buddy... hehe... Deeeeeeeeeeeenied!...
7. Mystical Space Typhoon - Everyone and there mom should have one of these since the latest Joey/Pegasus Starter Packs came out... even though they aren't shiny in those packs doesn't mean that they're not important... MST is so versitile... gets rid of ALL types of magic/trap cards on the field... if placed face down... it could even get rid of Imperial Order (Secret Rare/ Trap)... Staple... MST deserves a spot in your deck...
6. Call of the Haunted - I put this here over Premature Burial because of it's ability for a Free monster return... the only reason why it's so far down the list is because it tends to be easily removed because of MST... or Harpie's feather dusters... it has a lot of potential for combos... Staple... Staple... Staple...
Scenario - Opponent wipes your Blue Eyes Clear off your field... hits your life points... your next turn.... you use Call of the Haunted... BOOM... BEWD is back...
5. Maruading Captain (Monster 1200/400) - I know what you're wondering right now... "What the Heck... a Maruading Captain... this guy's an idiot!"... Well we'll see... MC is a great card... if your running a warrior deck... even better... the postives to this card are it's swarming ability... it's protection ability and it's invincibility...!!! invincibility... what invincibility?... if you have 2 maruading captains on the field... you can't attack either one of them... a monster stall... it's a great card.... A staple if running a Warrior Deck...
Scenario - A wave of monsters on your opponents side of the field... drop your 2 maruading captains... and Boom.. instant wall...
4. Goblin Attack Force (Monster 2300/0) - A monster with a 2300 atk... that's a level 4... this card is great (IF you can protect it...)... this card would be in my top 3 if it wasn't for it's effect... and with cards like spear dragon runnin around now... it's even harder to protect these guys... Good card... if used correctly..
Scenario - Gemini Elf is on your opponents field... Slam GAF on your side of the field... and say goodbye to his Gemini Elf... Secret Rare *pshHHHhH*....
3. Mage Power (Magic) - Not as powerful as United We Stand, but pretty darn effective... it's a lot easier to get this card out to full capacity since you can lay as many magic/trap cards on your field in one turn... but it's very easy to be destroyed... i wouldn't say it's a staple... but i would say it's a great back up if you don't already have UWS... Great Equip... one of the best...
Scenario - You have a Sangan (1000/600) in your hand... 4 magic/trap cards in your hand and a Mage Power... set all magic/trap face down... play sangan equipped with MP... and **POW** you now have a monster with a 3500/3100 attack...
2. United We Stand (Magic) - Even if you don't run a deck with Equip cards... This card needs to have a spot in your deck... It's one of the few staples that i really believe needs to be in every deck... 800 per every face-up monster... omg... freakin sweet...
Scenario - Your opponent has on his side of the field 2 blue eyes and a lord of d. What you have in your hand is a Hayabusa Knight (1000/1000 can attack twice), a scape goat and a United We Stand... play Hayabusa Knight... play scape goat... attach UWS to Hayabusa knight... you now have a monster with a 5500/5500 attack that can attack twice... nuff said...
1. Mirror Force (Trap) - Man... this card has got to be the best card in the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game. Out of all the cards I own... i would never EVER give this card up... *not even for a Secret Rare...
Scenario - Opponent thinks he has you... Attacks with a United We Stand/Scape Goat combo powered Goblin Attack Force... badda bing... *Trap*... Monster is destroyed... "no more monster for you!"
If you guys have any more questions and or concerns about my Top 10 list... i'm free to respond...
