Alex's Yugioh Top 10 Water, Wind,
and Pyro cards
OK, this is a follow up to my Top 10
Earth, Dark, and Light cards.
Today is the Top 10 Water, Wind, and
Pyro cards.
Enjoy!
Water
10) Amphibious Bugroth MK-3--1500
attack for a level 4, even water isn't great, but with Umi, he becomes
1700. Still average, right? Wait, with Umi on the field, he can
attack directly! Now, 1700 directly isn't
bad.
9) Fairy King Truesdale--2700 attack
for one tribute, 2900 with Umi--excellent! However, a translation error,
which I don't know will be fixed, if not, this monster will move
up.
8) Amphibian Beast--2400 level 6,
which matches Jinzo. He also has 2000 defense. A good one trib
monster in a Water deck.
7) Giga-Gagagio--This monster is a
better one trib at level 5, 2450 attack. Enough to kill Jinzo, and ALO
makes him level 4 and 2650, enough to kill Skull &
Anubius.
6) 7 Colored Fish/Giant Red
Seasnake--Identical cards, stats, etc...1800 level 4, 2000 with Umi, good
cards.
5) Penguin Soldier--Flip:
return 2 monsters on the field to the owners hand? What's bad about
that? Return this monster and reuse and abuse the
effect.
4) Sea Serpent Warrior of
Darkness--Another 1800 level 4 monster (looks a lot like Kaiser Sea Horse) but
he gets up because he has 1500 instead of 800
defense.
3) Gagagio--the best level 4 Water
monster at 1850 attack, and only a common. Run 3 in a water
deck.
2) Levia Dragon-Daedalus--2600
attack and level 7. Send Umi on your side of the field to the graveyard to
destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field. Combine with
ALO and Cost Down-he becomes level 4.
1) Tribe Infecting Virus--1600,
mediocre at best, but the effect to just kill 1 main monster, probably
more. Fits in most if not all decks.
Pyro
10) UFO Turtle--A decent
monster for a fire deck, at least for its special
ability.
9) Spirit of Flames--1700 for a
special summon isn't bad, and the 300 increase is decent. If it were
EITHER battle phase, he'd be a bit of a
force.
8) Battle Footballer--1000 attack,
nothing spectacular, but a good defensive monster with 2100. Level 4, and
also a machine.
7) Inferno--his effect of doing 1500
direct damage when destroying a monster is good, but at 1100 attack, he'll have
to be powered up to destroy anything.
6) Fire Princess--in a deck built
around her, she's amazing, add Solemn Wishes, Life Absorbing Machine, etc. and
she is invincible.
5) Legendary Flame Lord--2400-2000,
and a ritual, not popular already, right? Wait, put 3 spell counters on
this guy to destroy ALL monsters on the field except this guy, now he's
OK.
4) Hino Kagu Tsuchi--The best spirit
monster at 2800 attack with the normal spirit effect. Good in a spirit
deck, find a way to keep him on the field.
3) Lava Golem--An excellent burn
card, and being able to sacrifice two of your opponent's monsters kicks
but. However, protect yourself, he does have 3000
attack.
2) Solar Flare Dragon--1500 attack,
and he can't be attacked if you have another Fire monster on your side of the
field, including another Solar Dragon.
1) Tyrant Dragon--2900 attack for a
level 8 dragon. The revival effect is a bit of a downer, but no problem in
a Dragon deck. Plus, protects himself from specific
traps.
Wind
10) Fiend Skull Dragon--2000 attack
only, AND a fusion. But he is Wind, and his specific trap negating ability
is good. Plus, he negates flip effects.
9) The Dragon Dwelling in the
Cave--Giant Soldier of Stone stats but a Level 4, no big deal except Gravity
Bind.
8) Kazejin--2400-2200 level 7 isn't
great. But the negate 1 attack to 0 isn't something to laugh
at.
7) Harpies Brother--1800 level 4 in
a wind deck isn't bad. Run 2 or 3 and see what you
think.
6) 4 Starred Lady Bug of Doom--800
attack, what a joke right? Flip: Destroy ALL level 4 monsters on
your opponents side of the field.
5) Silpheed--special summon and 1700
attack is decent. The hand disruption effect is nice
also.
4) Spear Dragon--1900 level 4 with a
built in Fairy Meteor Crush is awesome. Watch the Goblin defense drawback,
but it's not a big deal.
3) Luster Dragon--1900-1600 Wind
Level 4. What's not to like? He isn't very accessible, but a great
card none the less.
2) Yata Garasu--yes, the Yata
lock. A good card in a control/hand disruption deck. Unfortunately,
he'll be banned shortly, keeping him from being
#1.
1) Slate Warrior--quite possibly the
best Level 4 monster in the game. His effect boosts you, or weaknes your
opponent. (He isn't BETTER then Yata, but won't be banned, so he got the
higher spot, sorry.)
