Buddy's top ten list of things
that annoy me in local tourneys
Hi, I’m Buddy this is my top ten List of
things that annoy me about local tournaments
10: When you have been told there is a tourney in a week and
you make time to go to it but when you roll up the store owners tell you that no
one is going in it.
9: When
every one has finished their first duel and you have to wait for two newbies to
finish and they have been playing for 1 hour and are still on there first round
with 4000 life points each left.
8: Trading after a tournament: this is one of my favourite
pastimes but i always seem to end up trying to trade some card for some thing
and the other person said he will think about it. It is alright to think about
it but in a time span of a few minuets. I have had to wait 20 minuets once just
for them to say ‘maybe next time’. Meanwhile every other person you wanted to
trade with has left.
7: People
who run stall decks or defence decks (most newbies love defence decks): Alright,
stall decks are ok when you have some point behind them but everyone I’ve seen
had none, zip, nothing. No strategy behind them. It really ticks me
off when I have to wait for another duel to finish. I mean I don’t mind waiting
for 5 minuets but half an hour? Come on, it is rediculous.
6: Braggers: People who think
they are better then every one else just because they have won a few
tournaments; usually the ones you have missed. I am one of the best where I come
from and I had some one come up to me and say their deck can beat me. Long story
short, I beat him. I mean I trampled him and then he said his deck could of
beaten me if he had drawn the right cards. I believe any deck is good if you
drew out the right cards but he really had no chance.
5: People who steal others
cards: In a big tourney it is easy to lose track of your cards but please if you
find a card turn it in; don’t pocket it. Imagine if it was yours- you’d want it
back.
4: People how go through
people decks and go ‘crap, crap, crap, ok, crap’ and then give it back to them.
I mean no one wants to hear their hard work is crap and it really hurts
people. I mean you should encourage more duelists, then there are more
people who turn up at the tournaments.
3: Jealousy: people who are jealous of you really go out of
there way to hate you. I mean they don’t wont to trade even if you have
something they really want and never want to duel you. This really doesn't
bother me as much as when they tell other about you they say all sorts of stuff
on how bad your deck is and stuff like that.
2: Fear: well it is not as much as they fear me but they
don’t want to duel me and if I go in a tournament they don’t go in it.
This makes me so aarrr! You get the point
1: Jealousy and fear: and yes I now how much this sounds like
I’m up my self but it has happened last week. Me and my friend are top duelists
and we were told there was a tournament on a Saturday, so me and my friend
rolled up only to find that all of the competitors told the store owner to
change it to a Friday and no-one told us; you could imagine how we angry we
felt. They even told the store owner that they had told us, that’s why he
did not notify us earlier, and anyway they had a tourney without us because
chances are we would probably win.
