Marcus E's Yu-Go-Oh! Top Ten
Special Summon(ing) Cards
1) Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of
the End
It's a great card all
round. It gets rid of your opponents field and hand, along with the potential to
do MASSIVE amounts of damage to your opponent's LP. This card IS a special
summon.
2) Chaos
Sorcerer
It comes out and hits
them hard, and fast. It's special ability allows it to remove any monster on the
field from play instead of attacking, which is great when you know that it would
lost in combat. This card IS a special
summon.
3) Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of
the Beginning
It, like the Chaos
sorcerer, comes out quickly and painfully. It's ability allows it to attack
every monster on your opponents side of the field, if it's used correctly. This
card IS a special summon.
4) Nimble
Momonga
There aren't a lot of
cards that can let you slip by it's effect. It basically implies that when it is
sent to the graveyard as a result of battle, you can take cards of the same name
from your deck and place them in Face-down Defense position, as well as gaining
1000 LP. Notice that you're not restricted to taking only 1 nimble momonga from
you deck. This card PROVIDES special summons.
5) Bubonic
Vermin
It's flip effect says
that you can take other "Bubonic Vermin" cards from you deck and place them into
face down defense position. Great for Quick Sacrifices, or sacrificial lambs.
This card PROVIDES special summons.
6) Sinister
Serpent
One of the ultimate
special summons, it allows you to revive it from the graveyard
every standby it is there, regardless of how it is sent there. Infinite
Sacrifices, and a great defense. This card IS and PROVIDES a special
summon.
7) Troop
Dragon
There aren't a lot of
ways to get around this card's effect either. When it is destroyed in battle,
take 1 other Troop Dragon from your deck and play it in face down defense
position. Also great for defense. This card PROVIDES special
summons.
8) Revival
Jam
Even though you have to pay 1000 LP to revive it... it's not a limited card,
making them great defenses (ONLY because there can be 3 of them). Some decks are
right for this one, and some aren't... and also, they can only be special
summoned if they were destroyed as a result of battle. This Card IS a special
summon.
9) Mystic
Tomato
When this card is sent
to the graveyard, you can special summon 1 Dark type monster from you deck with
an attack of 1400 or Less into face up attack position, which is great for
playing certain things, such as a "Wall of Illusion" or "Sangan", or a "Witch of
the Black Forest"... Even though it's in attack mode, it makes your opponent
think before destroying it. This Card PROVIDES a special
summon.
10) Scapegoat / Stray
Lambs
The only real
difference is that "Stray Lambs" provides tokens that you CAN sacrifice to
summon a monster, whereas "Scapegoat" does not. However, the 2 extra tokens from
scapegoat can be a great defense, and the downside to "Stray Lambs" is that you
can't summon in that turn... so It's completely up to you what to
use.
