JB's top ten yugioh list--top 10 tribute monsters

these are my top 10 tribute monsters that are normal summoned, not special summoned (other than by mon reb, etc.)

10) dark ruler ha des--this card is pretty decent for one trib.  2450 atk and it negates the effects of monsters it destroys.  not to mention it is very cool looking

9) barrel dragon--this card is really cool and has a great effect.  you flip a coin 3 times and if you get 2 heads, you can destroy one monster on your opponent's side of the field.  it also starts w/ 2600 atk.

8) guardian sphinx--this card has a good effect, but lacks at the attack side of the game.  w/ only 1700 atk, it is easily attacked and destroyed, but it has a good effect and decent defense w/ 2400

7) buster blader--this card is really awesome and has a good effect and has 2600 attack to start, but it gains 500 atk for every dragon your opponent has in the graveyard or on the field.  talk about potential.

6) kaiser glider--this card is good and is underrated at that.  it starts w/ 2400/2200 as its stats and can attack a monster w/ the same attack and destroy only the opposing monster.  with this effect, it can nuke a jinzo and come out unharmed.  also, when it is destroyed, it can automatically remove one monster from the field back to it's owner's hand.

5) great maju garzett--this card starts out 0/0, but has an awesome effect.  when summoned (one trib), it gains the original atk of the tributed monster times two.  ie:  1800 original times two=3600atk!

4) dark magician of chaos--this card is really cool and has a good effect.  it starts at 2800/2600 and when it's summoned, you can add 1 spell card from your graveyard to your hand.  also, any monster it destroys is removed from play

3) tyrant dragon--this card is sweet looking and is very good.  it starts at 2900/2500 and has two good effects.  it's first effect is that if it destroys an opponents monster in battle, it can attack once more during the same battle phase.  also, it can't be targeted by traps that specifically designate it.  ie: no magic cylinder, ring of d, sakuretsu armor, etc.

2) vampire lord--this card is my second favorite card, only behind the number one trib monster.  despite v lord's minor 2000 attack, it has two incredible effects.  it first can destroy a magic, trap, or monster while it's still in your opponents deck any time you inflict LP damage with it.  also, if it's destroyed by anything other than a monster attack, it is returned to the field during your next standby phase.  thus, no traps, no magic, no effects can stop it.

1) jinzo--real surprise here.  this is my favorite card and it's the best trib card in the whole english game right now.  it's 2400 atk, negates all traps, and is searchable by WOTBF.  what more do you want?  it easily became a deck staple and most likely will be for a very long time.
