Hey, I'm going to try and take a gamble on my own article.  Even though I have cards like Jinzo and Raigeki, I am one of the few people who have actually used a V-Lord's effect and didn't care.  Cool effect, but whatever.  I'm not a fan of cards that are super-powerful and super-popular, but I do like certain effects.  Here are my favs:

10. United We Stand: It's not as popular now that Chaos decks are one of the most popular decks, but I did get a Hayabusa Knight up to a full 4000 bonus via a Cyber Jar and killed one of my buds instantly.  It's not superpowerful either thanks to Torrential Tribute and various M/T removal.     
9.Axe of Despair: I honestly don't think that Axe of Despair is over-powered, but it gets the chips over United thanks to the fact you can have three.
8. Man-Eater Bug: Now neglected thanks to the resurgents of Nobleman of Crossout, I just like to kill my opponent's monsters.  Note that this is tied with Old Vindictive Magician for the same reason, but I wanted to list others.
7. Monster Reborn: A card that has saved my hide several times.  Know when to use it (like when you want to prevent your opponent from getting his V-Lord back).
6.Summoned Skull: Nice looking card and only one tribute for a 2500 attack.  If you want to build a Fiend deck and need some beef, try him out.
5. Spear Dragon: Love trample.  Hate the second effect.  He does make really great bait and the bonus is that he does have to wait a bunch of turns like GAF to turn in attack mode.
4. Sakaretsu Armor: My play group uses this card, and I use three.  It's a Trap and saves Spear Dragon and other face-down cards (and me at times).
3. Dark Ruler Ha Des: He has a great first effect, but his second effect prevents him from being number one.
2: Dark Driceratops: Like I said, Love trample.  No other side effects other than being  a tribute makes it over Dark Ruler.
1. Lastly comes Mataza the Zapper.  It's a better version of Hayabusa Knight, which I used to use until Mataza came out.  Even without equip cards, being hit twice by this can hurt a lot.
