OK, I've been reading this site for a while now, and I don't think there
are many articles that really help anyone reading them. So, heres a list I've
made with some advice about becoming a good duellist
10) Never dis any card (no not even skull servant). As useless as any card
seems on its own, with the right cards it could make a great combo. And when a
player has 200 LP and they have trap hole or bottomless trap hole, and you
finish of with 'the useless waste of space' is always funny.
9) Respect your opponent. Even if they're a noob. I know a 3 year old who
could hardly talk, but what he could say was 'mirror force' and stuff. He could
duel! at 3! Never call them crap or laugh at their strategies, they are the same
as you.
8) Keep the deck as low as possible. When you're in a difficult situation
and you have deck with 46+ cards there's less chance you'll pull
out a card you need.
7) Keep high level monsters low. I have 3 (2 level 7 and one level 6) but
two of those are fusion material.
6) Don't top deck. Whatever you do, do not use every card in your hand
because you can. Nothings worse than top decking a tribute monster
5) Play fairly. If you win, its more satisfying. If you lose, you know
where your deck has weak spots.
4) Do not do anything from the anime. Even if it is viable, the anime is
for show, not strategy.
3) Try combos. See what works and what doesn't and learn from your
mistakes.
2) Duel as many people as possible. Gain experience. Nuff said
1) Build your own deck. Don't copy others because they win. And don't let
other people build yours. You don't learn anything.
