Subject: The Waste of
rare rant-By Wes
I
also play mtg frequently and encountered the same problem that I am now facing
with yu-gi-oh; the dreaded waste of rare. I have bought merely 5 packs,
but I plan to buy a magic ruler box when it is released. Although I am
hesitant to do so, because of doubles. I dont mind having 5 blackland fire
dragon, those are common and I would expect to get alot, but what peaves me is
paying my $4.00 and opening a metal raiders pack, rifling through the cards to
the middle where I look for my rare... and it is; ANOTHER STARBOY!!! Not
only is this card completly useless, and an annoyance that it is one of only 9
new additions to my collections, its trade value is 0. This would be not
so bad, until I think, I could have gotten gate gaurdian, B. skull dragon, or
any number of GOOD cards with HIGH TRADE VALUE. Instead, they give me this
card that everyone I know has two of, and no one wants. So, are you
annoyed by this? well I certainly am. A card should have to fufill
certain requirements to be rare, it should have to be... GOOD! Raegeki,
Magic Jammer, tribute to the dommed, gate gaurdian and its pieces, all of these
cards are rares that are good at the same time, if I opened a pack and found any
one of these I would be not at all dissapointed but instead I get starboy, or
any other number of bad cards that are virtually immpossible to trade and to
use. So my point is... If they are making a card rare, and only giving us
one per pack, then they should at least give us one good rare. Thanx for
reading. pooky62@aol.com <---email me with questions, comments, or
