Hi all. Today i'm takin a look at a card that we all know and are
sure to keep away from our decks. Jirai Gumo. Everyone hates this card.
Why? At first glance this card is godly. 2200 for no tribute? But then we see
it's effect. I apologize to those who know it's effect for repeating it here:
When you attack with this card, flip a coin and call it. If you call right,
attack normally. if you call wrong reduce your life points by half before
attacking. At first it seems there is no use for it. The main idea is to keep
your life points UP and not DOWN.
HOWEVER, this card has the ability to stall. If your opponent attacks then
you don't need to flip a coin. That's a 2200 stat wall. Put this out in the
early game and your opponent will be forced to waste his raigeki, black hole,
trap hole (although it's immune to that if you go first due to trap
holes ruling) and other monster removal. There's basically
no other way around it. If your opponent uses fissure make sure you have a
monster w/ a lower attack. Power them up with forest and stuff and they'll be
even more powerful. Put them out, stall, then sacrifice them for a BEWD.
This card is indeed ideal for the scapegoat purpose. Put it out, wait, and
sacrifice it for something or another. But I'm focusing all on the sacrificial
benefits. This card can cause some SERIOUS damage if your lucky. Let me say
this. If your opponents LP is open, ATTACK w/ a capital A. Don't hold back. Mix
this with dian keto, waboku, and stuff to eat away at your opponents LP.
Equipped w/ an Invigoration it is a Summoned Skull remover. And I suspect it
will be very popular w/ giant growth in the future.
