Hello Pojo, I believe that it is possible to tell the difference between fake and real Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The fake boosters often contain 3 of a common and the a rare. Ex. My friend got a pack and got 3 Masaki, 3 Ray&Temp, 2 King Fog and a messed up Mystical Elf. Another got a Blue Eyes with Gold lettering but no holo and it said SDK-001. The way to tell from the outside whether a pack is fake is that it will be a strip of silver paper. Above where the blue is on the booster should have a "staple" pattern, but fake packs don't. Fake: Blank strip Real: ^^^^^^^^^ along top. Another point is that their will probably be a price difference. (Real being more enpensive)
