Metal Raiders Preview:
Exodia deck
Hello. I'm here today to give a sneak peek of the upcoming Metal
Raiders set, in the form of a soon to be powerful deck. We're going to
look at an Exodia deck, and introduce some new cards that are sure to help
out.
(Thanks to Edo for early card translations!)
"Raiders of the Lost Exodia" PRELIMINARY VERSION
Metal Raiders cards are in bold.
(This is assuming that Mirror Force and Heavy Storm are restricted to one,
and Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest are restricted to 2).
Monsters: (20)
Exodia the Forbidden One
Right Leg of the Forbidden One
Left Leg of the Forbidden One
Right Arm of the Forbidden One

The main combo here is Sangan/Witch of the Black Forest + Cannon
Soldier. Sangan lets you search your deck for a monster with an attack
power of 1500 or less and put it into your hand if it is destroyed, and Witch of
the Black Forest lets you do the same thing, except with 1500 or less
defense. Cannon Soldier allows you to sacrifice a monster on the field to
do 500 damage to your opponent. Thus, you use Cannon Soldier to destroy
your Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest to search for Exodia parts.
The Unhappy Maiden ends your opponent's Battle Phase should they choose to
destroy it. Magician of Faith has a flip effect that lets you bring back a
Magic card from your graveyard (just like in the Anime).
The rest of the cards act as a defensive wall to prevent your opponent from
killing your life points.
Magic: (17)
Pot of Greed
Monster Reborn
Change of Heart
Dark Hole
Raigeki
Heavy Storm

Only one new card here. Heavy Storm, known as Tempest in Japan,
destroys all Magic and Trap cards on the field. This is nifty if you need
to get rid of an opponent's problematic card like Mirror Force. The rest
of the cards are standard business. Last Will is to get an extra
Sangan/Witch of the Black Forest from your deck when you destroy one. (Two
monsters for the price of one!)
Traps: (9)
Mirror Force
Magic Jammer

Seven Tools of the Bandit
Trap Hole

Castle Walls

Ultimate Offering
Everyone knows what Mirror Force does. Magic Jammer allows you to
discard one card from your hand to negate and destroy an opponent's Magic
card. Seven Tools of the Bandit lets you pay 1000 LP to negate and destroy
an opponent's Trap card. The rest is basically standard. Ultimate
Offering allows you to launch your Sangan/Witch of the Black Forest quicker and
put up your defensive wall quickly.
We are playing mostly a defensive deck with Exodia, so we are trying to
rely on Exodia to win. You may not like this strategy, so our side
deck can turn this deck into a more offensive Exodia deck or a standard F/S
beatdown.
Side Deck: (15)
Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Sword of Deep-Seated (I believe)

Reinforcements
Sword of Deep-Seated allows you to increase any monster's attack and
defense by 500, and it goes to the top of your deck if it goes to the graveyard
from the field, letting you reuse it. Sanga of the Thunder has 2600/2200
for Level 7, and lets you negate one attack against it as an effect. The
rest is basically standard stuff.
I hope this serves as an interesting and informative introduction to Metal
Raiders. It's only around 2 weeks away, so get ready!
I may do a Revolver Dragon (english: Barrel Dragon) deck next if I get
positive feedback from this. Send any comments to
