Subject: Horn of the Unicorn: A master card
Some cards in the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, are so good, that I like to call them "Master Cards".  Cards that belong to a group so exclusive, that you only have five excuses not to use them.  They are the following:

1) You do not have the card
2) You don't know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh
3) You're trying not to win
4) You're playing a practical joke
5) You're an idiot (Well, so am I... So don't feel bad!)

These "Master Cards" include cards such as Raigeki and Pot of Greed.  Cards that simply MUST be used in your deck.  Well, I think that Magic Ruler has given birth to a new Master Card.

Meet Horn of the Unicorn.  The cards reads as follows:

"Horn of the Unicorn: Equip Magic

A monster equipped with this card increases its ATK and DEF by 700 points.  When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, it returns to the top of your Deck."

At first glance, Axe of Despair may appear to be a more appealing card to some people.  Axe of Despair is a card very similar to Horn of the Unicorn, except it increases ONLY a monster's ATK by 1000 points.  In addition, if you want to place the card at the top of you're deck, you must pay 1 of your monsters as a tribute to do so.

So basically, Horn of the Unicorn is the same thing as Axe of Despair, except you're trading +300 ATK points for +700 DEF and not having to pay a tribute if you want the card back.  Now don't get me wrong, Axe of Despair is still a VERY good card and I'd use one if I had it, but in my eyes Horn of the Unicorn proves itself to be the best Equip Magic Card in the game.

So, throw away those Sword of Dark Destructions and Books of Secret Arts, and do anything you possibly can to get as many of Horn of the Unicorn's as you possibly can.  I purposely traded for three of these.  Think about it, a Summoned Skull equipped with three of these can take out a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (When it's released in the US)!  And since this card goes back to the top of your deck when discarded, the chances of having three of these at one time isn't so unrealistic.

Pros:

-Increases the ATK and DEF of 1 of your monsters by 700 points each (Duh!).
-Goes back to the top of your deck when discarded

Cons:

-You MUST place this on top of your deck when discarded.  You have no option to keep this card in the graveyard, which can hurt in some situations.  But rarely will you not want this card with you...

Combos:

Not much.  The card is really a combo in itself.  But I suppose you could attach this to a face-down monster you don't want your opponent to attack (Such as a card with a good effect and low stats that you're saving for later).  Your opponent knows that you have AT LEAST +700 DEF, and thus may be reluctant to attack that card.  You're not really wasting the card, as it will be returned to the top of your deck soon anyway (And if it doesn't, that means you're in good shape!).

A good old Giant Soldier of Stone/Mystical Elf + Horn of the Unicorn is a combination that can really hurt your opponent in the early game.  Think about it, let's say you start the game and place a Giant Soldier of Stone or Mystical Elf in face-down defense position.  Then, your opponent decides to take a risk and attacks with Neo the Magic Swordsman on his first turn.  That's already 1,000 life points taken away from your opponent!  The card simply has endless possibilities.

To sum up the point of this tip in one sentence -- Put as many of Horn of the Unicorn's as you possibly can in your deck.  Do it now.

Any comments or questions would be greatly appreciated.  Heck I'll even accept bashes. :0)  Just e-mail me at SRDPLS@aol.com.  Thanks for the time.
