Subject: Corrections on several tips.
Tips are very nice to have when you are new and trying to understand the
game, or when you are trying to learn a few new tricks. But tips with false
information given is just irresponsible action to me. Below are the corrections
on several tips listed on Sept. 18
For "Zack Deck Thoughts": Please don't post any decks that still involves
Japanese cards, for that many players out there like myself, are looking
strictly for English version cards only even though there are Japanese cards
which are facinating. Look through your deck and I see if not at least half of
them are Japanese cards. Please, this deck will get you disqualified in North
America anywhere.
For "wisked blue eyes summon with backup": here is a direct quote from your
tip-"
monster reborn(in hand), traphole(on field), mirror force(on field),tribute
to the doomed(field), &fissure (field),dark hole,
despell,justdesserts, and woboku
thats four spaces so far, let them build up a defense then use a just
desserts to take 500 to 2500 lifepoints then a dark hole (make sure you have
nothing extremely good down there) Next discard B-E W. dragon to the
graveyard, next use the lord of d. face up in defense and use the
flute to summon the two remaining bw dragons to the field as special summons(
if they use a despell just use yours), next reborn your other dragon to the
field. place woboku down for another part of it."
Noticed the part underlined? There are just way too many mistakes in this
tip.
1. Just Desserts is a trap card, therefore it cannot be played directly
from your hand. It must be set on the field for one turn at least before you can
activate its effect. However, from your tip, you give me the impression that you
are playing this card right from your hand.
2. You CANNOT discard cards from your hand for ANY reason other than card
effects. Therefore you cannot just simply "discard a BEWD".
3. When normal summoning a monster, it can only be played in either FACE-UP
attack mode, or FACE-DOWN defense mode. You CANNOT normal summon a monster in
face up defense mode right away. This also goes with flipping a monster. When
flip summon a monster, it must be flipped from face-down defense into face up
attack, you cannot flip it into face up defense right away.
4. Despell is a normal magic with spell speed 1. It is clearly stated in
the official rule book and the upperdeck ruling that speed 1 spell CANNOT
counter another speed 1 spell. The only type of magic card that is allowed to be
played as a counter or during your opponent's turn are the quick-play magics,
which has just been released with Magic Ruler.
5. You may only have 6 cards in you hand by the end of your turn. Therefore
you hands contain way too many cards required to be played in a chain that is
almost impossible to put together.
For "Gate Guardian with only six tributes---Seto Kaiba": Share the Pain
only destroys one of your monsters and one of your opponent's monsters on the
field. The destroyed monster CANNOT be used as a tribute for summoning
lvl5+monsters or card effects like Cannon Soldier. If you cannot accept this
rule, then just answer this question- Why would Konami create another card
called "Soul Exchange", which is a foiled card, and allow another normal magic
card to do the job much better, yet not restricting it in any deck??? Using soul
exchange you have to skip your battle phase, but if Share the Pain works the way
you intended, you don't even skip your battle phase for it, that just doesn't
make sense to me.
That's it for now, I'll be back for more corrections if it is needed. For
now, later.
