Real Uses For Ring of Magnetism
by Proto

By now, most people should be using Ring of Magnetism
correctly, by only playing it on their side of the field. Its an official
ruling at all the Sanctioned Tournaments, as well as on several sites.
Well, people seem to think there's no use for this card, but there are some
small combos which *aren't* game-winners by any means, but are just neat.
Yeah, neat.
1) Ring of Magnetism + Reverse Trap
Pretty
basic. You play the ring of Magnetism on a monster, thinking your opponent
will attack it in hopes of winning due to the loss of 500. Even if the
monster was lower in the first place, it will gain 500 when you flip Reverse
Trap.
2) Ring of Magnetism + Unhappy Maiden
Stall for
one turn. Your opponent can only attack the Unhappy Maiden, and when they
do, their turn will end. Its simple, again, but often
overlooked.
3) Ring of Magnetism + Witch of Black
Forest
This combo works with a lot of cards, and again, is pretty
basic. They can only attack the card, which gives you a desired effect,
such as picking out a card, or destroying a card (Man-Eater
Bug).
4) Ring of Magnetism + Change of Heart
This isn't
really a combo, but it's an anti-combo. A monster equipped with Ring of
Magnetism is immune to Change of Heart. This is because if you opponent
was to Change of Heart a RoM'd monster, that their monsters could only attack
that monster, which is in their control- which is illegal. Its a cool
protection against Change of Heart, if you know your opponent has it coming
up.
More combos will become evident with this card, making it much
more useful as future expansions come
out.
