This CCG tip breaks down constructing a competitive post-ban Dark Magician deck. I'll provide a couple
of possible DM decks, but mostly I'll analyze cards and combos that will be instrumental in any DM deck.

Advanced Magicians
These will be the pinnacle of your decks; the star-hitter who you will aim at getting to the field to secure the win.
Who you choose depends on your style and preference; it will not only affect the way you play, but the rest of your
deck, as you would need to build support for this card.

Dark Magician Girl - She's the runt of Magicians, heavily dependent on Dark Magician for support. Aim to discard
your Dark Magicians to power her up as she can go up to a potential 3800 ATK (without Magician of Dark Chaos
and counting DM's in the opponent's Graveyard). Support cards: Painful Choice, Sage's Stone

Dark Sage - Risky Business for the Dark Magician as he brings in his dad to rob the win. If you love taking chances,
this guys definitely for you. You need to be successful with Time Wizard's effect and discard a DM on the field
to get this geriatric Magician out. It's much easier discarding the DM's and having DM's girlfriend at 2900. Support cards: Time Wizard

Dark Magician of Chaos - DM's big brother with the ill effect. Solid attack and defense; a much more reliable Dark Sage.
Support cards: Dedication Through Light and Darkness, Return from a Different Dimension

Sorcerer of Dark Magic - If Dark Magician was a Saiyan, this would be his Super Saiyan LV 1 form. Moderately
difficult to summon even with sufficient support, but the effect of optional negation of traps definitely pays off.

A Force to Summon With
Getting Dark Magician and his superiors out is like a magic trick; it's never by the book (meaning traditional
tributing). Here are some cards that will help in bringing out Dark Magician and the Advanced Magicians:

Double Coston - Kaiser Seahorse of Dark tribute monsters. These dark apparitions will act as two monsters when
Tribute Summoning a Dark monster. At 1700 ATK/1650 DEF and 4 stars, it stands up to most other 4 star monsters,
and with Mystic Plasma Zone on the field, you have a 2200 ATK 4 star monster waiting to become a DM.

Skilled Dark Magician - Magical muscle that can transform into Dark Magician after accumulating 3 spell counters.
Especially effective in a Spell Counter heavy deck.

Tribute Doll - A decent Normal Spell that makes any monster a substitute for two-monsters in a Tribute Summon.
Miracle Restoring - An extra tool for Dark Magician recursion. Also good for Spell counter heavy decks.
Dedication Through Light and Darkness - Steroids for Dark Magician to transform into Dark Magician of Chaos.
Sage's Stone - Help out Dark Magician Girl by calling out her man.

Magical Army
Depending on which Advanced Magician you're using and how you like to play, some support cards may work better
for you than others. But, whether you like to play Beatdown, Chaos, Burn or Disruption, there are many versatile
DM support cards to fill your needs. Here are a few important ones:

Magician of Faith - Dark Magician staple; spell recursion and Chaos food.
Magical Scientist - A magical swiss-army knife.
Old Vindictive Magician - An old goat with a Man-eater bug effect.
Chaos Sorcerer - Quick and easy summon mid to late-game with a monster removal effect.
Breaker the Magical Warrior - Solid 4 star monster will potential S/T removal.
Magical Marionette - Counter friendly beast that accumulates ATK with each Spell Counter.
Royal Magical Library - Extra draws for collecting Spell Counters.
Apprentice Magician - Spell counter support.

Magical Ammo
What's a magician without without his magical spells? Not to worry, Dark Magician has many tricks up his sleeves:

Dark Magic Attack - Harpies Feather Duster for Dark Magician. Say bye-bye to the only thing holding you back from attacking.
Mystic Plasma Zone - Boost up your Dark monsters by 500 ATK points for a mere 400 DEF loss.
Butterfly Dagger Elma - The last stab in a counter-heavy deck.
