 Post Ban Deck Idea- C-well
Well, the ban list is really starting to get people thinking about new and creative deck styles. Tournaments are finally going to get interesting again! Anyway, I have been trying to think of my deck idea, and I just recently thought about a deck that was until recently laughed at, but because of the ban, its going to kill. Thank you Dark Crisis for giving us Archfiends. I have tried this deck against other post ban decks and it has done really good. Here are the reasons people thought it was useless before and my commentary on as to why that has changed:

1. Oh, you have to pay so many lifepoints for them to stay on the field!

Well, welcome to the field of Pandemonium. As long as its on the field you don't have to pay the lifepoints for the Archfiends. Also there are other good things about Pandemonium. If your opponent or you destroys an archfiend on your side of the field by card effect, you get another one with fewer level stars than the one destroyed. Torrential Tributes will be a gift during post ban.

2. Oh, the monsters are way too weak to survive in any tournament play!

Wrong again. The chess pieces all have very decent abilities and some of them have power as a bonus. Vilepawn makes your opponent unable to attack any Archfiend on your side of the field except Vilepawn. All you have to do is use an Axe of Despair or Infernalqueens ability or both to get it up to 3200! Then your opponent won't be able to bust through. Shadowknight makes for a good offensive with 2000 att, although you won't rely on it for lifepoint damage. Darkbishop just helps with specific designating card effects by increasing the odds on the dice rolls. Infernalqueen is basically 1900 or like I said you can pump up your Vilepawns so your opponent won't attack. Then there's Terrorking. Although another Archfiend must be on the field to normal summon it, once its out there, you just summoned a mini version of Dark Ruler Ha Des. And if he happens to get destroyed, its no problem, just chuck a Desrook from your hand. The other biggies for archfiend decks are Dark Necrofear and Mazera DeVille. Necrofear lets you make use of your destroyed archfiends. Mazera is a kick butt card that's easy to summon in an archfiend deck, has power to back him up, and allows you to basically gain control by decimating your opponents hand. He's not a key part to my deck, but he sure beefs it up a bit. Archfiends weak...lol!!!

3. Pandemonium is way too easy to destroy and makes the deck so much weaker because of it!

This is the hardest thing to back up in an Archfiend deck. I have talked to the best players at my tournaments and they say that all they have to do is use Cursed Seal of Forbidden Spell on Pandemonium and you are screwed. Well, I got news for them. You side deck a few little negaters like your seven tools, prohibition, etc. But the biggest thing they did not take into account was another Dark Crisis gift. Pandemonium Watchbear! As long as he's on the field, Pandemonium is invincible, the trick is to summon him before you activate Pandemonium. And thanks to MST getting limited, you don't have to worry about them anymore.

That's basically it, I'll leave by putting down my rough draft of my archfiend deck. I am open to suggestions if you wanna respond.
