Ultimate Rant +
Future of Yugioh 2
To begin with many who read my last article
almost didn’t notice an ERROR in it, gladly someone did. Besides being too
short ( I think Pojo edited the naughty parts, lol), I made a simple
mathematical mistake. I stated the the perfect recipe for a deck was 16
monsters, 6 traps, and 20 magic cards. That is 42 cards. What I meant to say
was 18 magic cards. I was typing really fast when I wrote the article so
numbers may have been mixed up in my head. It is imperative that you only run
the minimum of 40 cards. Its really important, don’t run more than 40, I’m
really, really sorry. My deck does not contain 42 cards, it includes 40 cards,
I cant stress this enough. Anyways this is the continuation to my rant. I
received some emails that were pleasant, some people felt what I said, but
other emailed me with ridicule, and then there were people requesting help
with their decks. A few months ago I wouldn’t have mind, but now even though
it is fun responding to every single email (Still in progress) there is also
so much I can take. I came on the internet today and was overwhelmed by IMs
while checking the loads of mail I received. Please be patient, eventually I
will answer every single one of your emails, help you with your decks, and
slap you with insults. I promise.
Anyways I’m back with more
things to complain about. I was in a rush to release this new article to
fix the mistake of my old one but I might as well talk more about Yugioh and
its future. Now with the unavoidable bans ( such cards as yata, delinquent,
etc will be banned , its all a matter of time) a myriad (many) people think
the best thing to do is work on a new theme and perfect it, like the long dead
beat down which is trying to comeback like the crappy zombie deck. In my next
article I will talk about the reasons for these bans, but for now I’m going
to talk about how to overcome them. Many kids around here took those cards out
and started testing new decks. Even though they got their "buts" beat
("whooped" doesn’t sound like it does when u say it, compared to when you
read it, it sounds gay) by me, they fared pretty well. The thing you must know
is that the modified ban decks will never compare to the decks with their
staples unbanned. Just like magic. An old magic deck, type 1, if built
correctly could rip the new decks apart in as fast as two turns. In yugioh,
two turn wins aren’t as common, but they happen. Now with the new bans that
will be almost impossible (unless you draw Exodia, and if u have a good deck
you wont, because it wont be in there).Chaos decks will lose their power
tremendously, and control decks will rise again. That’s what happened in
Japan. Painful choice is one of the cards that will be banned because Upper
deck fears that with the other bans exodia decks will become really
competitive. THEY ARE STUPID! They have deck testers which actually see how
cards in production fare in decks, and they think exodia decks will be
something to fear. Now painful choice is an amazing card. Its really good in
chaos and they are going to ban it because of Exodia. Seriously Upper deck
employees don’t know what they are thinking. As an announcement I challenge
any official employee (card translators, deck testers, advertising?) to play
me in real life. I swear on my life if their deck isn’t almost the same as
mine, they wont win. I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS COMPANY WITH UNLIMITED
RESOURCES CANT GET REAL PLAYERS. At the mall tour the upper deck people you
played in the last round played garbage like butterfly dagger, machine, beat
down, and some other gay beat down. I was like " Do you not know that the best
deck type is, you jack***!" Back then control was the best and you cant tell
me they didn’t know that? Now some might differ that they play weak decks to
give a chance to little kids who actually purchase these foil wrapping with
these things called yugioh cards inside of them. THE TRUTH is that they were
trying to incentivate people to play these types of decks, so people can buy
old cards, go out of their way, spend money, which in turn reflects on the
profits of upper deck. If Upper deck had stock I would like someone to compare
the charts of earnings to the news released at the time. I promise you’ll
find a pattern.
I got off topic but, anyways back to the bans
some alternatives might be D.D designator. Usually when you play a game you
get to see an opponents cards (either by other card effects like confiscation,
when they reveal them to you by effects of the other cards, or if you sneakily
get a glimpse by mistake since your opponent held his hand too low, or dropped
a card by mistake, or you cheated). I will talk about the ban, and its reasons
in the third installment of these articles and after that article I will talk
about how I will go to Nationals and how you can meet me there. Lastly I want
to commentate that the real chaos player, the really good one, today bases his
deck and strategy around getting those monsters out on the field, but playing
as you would a control deck, and considering chaos as a supplement (if you
pull it good, if you don’t who cares, and if its useless in your hand
discard it for Tribe’s effect.) Chaos shouldn’t be in your hand for many
turns either play it or get rid of it. Its tempting to play strategically to
get it out, but just one mistake will cost you the game. Good luck, and keep
the emails coming.

P.S To those people who tell me not to take yugioh
so seriously and to play for fun, I’ll respond by telling you that you can
play yugioh for fun and waste your time, and don’t bother emailing me with
your non aggressive yugioh philosophy. If your going to take time to spend
money on cards and spend your time, when you can be studying or playing
sports, you better get something out of it.
