Subject: Magical Scientist- Why it is so versatile-Rob who loves TER

Magical Scientist is a versatile card, and I believe that it should be a staple in everydeck, or at least a sideboard card. It has variable uses, such as paying 1000 life to get a TER out, draining a monster, and possibly attacking another monster. That would be quite nice, two monsters for 1000 life. Me likey. Or you can grab a Dark Balter and attack your opponent with the confidence of a Ruler Ha Des, or place a Ryu Senshi on the field and secure an attack with a baby Jinzo. But those are just Scientist's basic uses.

Some may argue that 300 attack is nothing to scoff at. I agree with that.

300 attack means its getting owned by... almost every other card. So play Waboku's and book of moon's with Scientist.

Using a popular combo, Scientist with a Catapalt Turtle and more life than your opponent, you win the game. Plain and simple. Throw in a United we Stand, and summon a crap load of monsters, including Ryu Senshi and Dark Balter to help secure the damage, and attack your opponent for 4300. Cool.

Now maybe you are just beginning to see the wonders of Magical Scientist.

With the release of DCR, however, it is quite probable that Scientist will be used a lot more. I mean whole decks devoted to Scientist that don't revolve around the Catapalt Turtle Kill. And that cards that do this? Dark Flare Knight and Mirage Knight.

Now, I'm sure everyone knows what these cards do. For 3000 life, you can kill your opponent instantly in one turn, even moreso if your opponent plays hand destruction cards or anything else that pays life. Scientist makes every monster your opponent plays the possible cause of his downfall.

Let me explain. If your opponent has a Jinzo on the field, or any 2300+ attack monster, Scientist will kill your opponent. Three Dark Flares will bring out 3 Mirage Knights, which, with a clear board or only attack position monsters on the field, will plow a minimum of 8000 damage onto your opponents head.

Now, some may argue that Mirage Knights are a waste of deck space. Its a small price to pay for its 8000 damage pay off. Others argue that the chances your off your opponent having 2300+ monsters on the field are slim, but I hardly agree. Even if your opponent is smart and doens't summon his Jinzo or Ha Des, you can play your own equips on your opponents monsters, just to suicide Dark Flare and bring out Mirage. Nice.

So in conclusion, Magical Scientist is a valuable asset to any deck.

Searchable by Last will, witch, sangan, tomato, and even apprentice magician makes this card very fast to play. Early game, it can crush witches and sangans with Balter, avoid traps with Ryu Senshi, take out Vampire Lords or other fatties with TER, and kill your opponent late game with a United We Stand and an army of Fusion monsters. Or you could just end them the very first turn by summoning a trio of Mirage Knights. Nice.

There is a very good reason that it was restricted to one in Japan.
