Why Gravekeeper decks are so good- Ben
Yo, this is Ben, and I have done a few top ten lists and now I have decided to give this a go.  Anyways, this article is dedicated to why a gravekeeper deck would be very dominant in todays current yugioh tournament play.  Now the Gravekeeper decks I am talking about are the ones based on Necrovalley, and utilizes the gravekeeper monsters and if you want another tribute monster, grab the new hobby secret rare from the Ancient sanctuary set, End of Anubis.  Gravekeeper decks are mad- the main upside is that chaos decks quiver in fear; they can't even get on the feild.  Neither can necrofear, rock spirit etc. those reborn cards become deadweight, same as stuff like magician of faith.  You have to admit, alot of stuff relies nowadays on accessing the graveyard (hell, someone even called it your 'second deck') and you simply cut that away from them.

Now, it may seem stupid to base a deck around a feild magic card, but the main card you could use there is the cat of ill omen (don't know if that's the right name) which allows you to gain a feild magic card from your deck when flipped, giving you Necrovalley.  Pack in a couple of Magic reflectors to protect your necrovalley from MST's etc. and also pack in a few dust tornados to combat that blasted Imperial order.  you can just be inventive; I would even recomend running spell sheilds and magic drains over imperial order because that negates the necrovalley as well.  Necrovalley is the soul of the deck.

Now the gravekeeper cards have alright effects- Gravekeepers spear soldier, Gravekeepers spy and Gravekeepers assailant are the main ones.  The spy survives with 2000 defence, and the the other two become 2000 attack when necrovalleys out, which is excellent: Gravekeepers spear soldier gives you beatdown with his trample, and the Assailant has the ability to run through stuff like Jinzo- changing their battle positions.  With gravekeepers spy, you can summon two at once, filling your feild with 2000 beatsticks.    Gravekeepers also have a special trap card with them called rite of spirit- a free monster reborn for gravekeepers, so you can reek havoc with six reborn cards in you deck (best part about rite of spirit is that necrovalley does not affect it ;).  Then ofcourse you have the gravekeepers cheif, who becomes 2400 attack with necrovalley, the base attack for any tribute monster, and now you can do anything with your graveyard.  Hell, even summon your own chaos monster (this deck is starting to be a beatdown with a MAJOR upside).  I don't even know if you can do this, but if you have a magic reflector on your necrovalley and you flip fiber jar, does the graveyard go back?

Thanks for reading, that was just my view on gravekeepers decks.  Cheers.
