monsters: why we like em, why do we not- ralph r.
well, imo i dont like
emperor dragon or luster soldier but i do like dark magician of chaos in some
way. first of all, the effect. i like it coz of it's effect and the atk power
isn't half bad. can really ruin your opponent's strategy having all those
monsters out of play. too bad for them, they can't use the other chaos monsters
(aha! it's going against it's own brothers!) so no more worries about em. can't
believe chaos is going against chaos! the other good thing that it is playable
in all decks other than the two chaos monsters since you'd have to run a light
and dark deck. it's also very fun to play with it's compatibility with other
cards. and it makes other cards more playable. an example of that is
graverobber's retribution which does 100 dd per monster out of play in your
opponent's side of the field. see the difference in this card and the other two?
it's definetly more playable, and more useful. sure, emperor dragon does 300 dd
per card destroyed by paying 1000 lp of your own, but it also destroys
itself leaving you with nothing else on the field and giving you nothing to play
next turn, giving your opponent an advantage. ' well, that also gave you an
advantage since it destroyed his hand too you know' might probably what your'e
gonna say but still, you're giving your oppnent a chance to rebuild his strategy
and attack you. never give your opponent an advantage when your dueling. it
might cost you the whole duel or even the whole match. the last chaos card,
chaos soldier, imo is better than emperor dragon. i just can't explain how, but
i don't like this card either. it's just like that you know, i just cant explain
it. anyway, i'll give you combos for dark magican of
chaos.
combos for dark magician of chaos (i'll make it
dmc next time for shorter names)
1) banisher of light+dmc= no
chaos
play banisher of light and play ring of magnetism and heart
of clear water on banisher to make it invinsible. play dmc so all your
opponent's doomed attempts to summon ced and bls is a no-go.
2)
graverobber's retribution+dmc= dd every turn
i mentioned this on the
article already but who cares?
3) barrel behind the door+dimension
fusion+soul exchange+dmc= (insert whatever combo name you wnat to name it after
reading the text)
first play barrel, dimension fusion and soul exchange face
down. then get dmc on the field and attack one of your opponent's monsters so it
goes out of play. then play dimension fusion and then barrel. your opponent gets
direct damage and special summons his monster back. wait one turn. play soul
exchange to tribute his monster then you get to summon one of your monsters from
your hand. now insert that title!
