Ben L's opinion on the ban list
Well, we are all preparing ourselves for the banlist, so today i am going to share my thoughts about it.  First of all lets see the posotives and negatives for UD when creating the banlist so we can all see whether or not they would really do that.

posotive reasons:
-The veterans with original decks become happier.  However, the revenue for UD will not be affected all that much because of this.
-The veteran's with original decks that used to suck but now win tourneys might tell thier friends to start playing because they say it is a cool game.

negative reaons:
-Many, many people will quit causing there revenue to go down in two different ways.
-The parents who bought cards for there kids all to wind up being banned could cause several enemies for UD.  Also, the parents talk to eack other at tournaments whan they babysit thier kids.  When one tells another about the banlist, there are two people who have negative thoughts to share about UD.  You see the amount of parents growing from this.
-It will turn into a game involving strategy.  The people who play yugioh will figure just to go and play magic because they know there will be plenty of people who play magic and magic will never plummet like pokemon did.

Bottom line:  Does UD care what duelist think about yugioh?  The answer is a bag fat no.  All they care about is what ways they can make money, not ways to make people happy.  You think the CEO of walmart cares about how happy a customer is when all they can afford is walmart.  Thats exactly how UD feels about a duelist who still will play yugioh with the banlist or not.  Have you ever heard the words from a person, " Im gonna quit once the banlist comes out."  Didn't think so, but im sure you heard someone say they were gonna quit once the banlist does comeout.  Based on that, what route do you think UD is going to go.

Lets say the banlist does comeout, here im gonna give replacement advice:

For the first card:

Yata Garasu:  The truth is, no card matches the brokeness(is that a word) of yata.  So my advice is, if there is that monster that you would put in but its 17th on your list and you have 16 monsters in your deck, here is the room you need.  Unfortunately that is the only advice i can give, because nothing can match yata IMO.

Injection Fairy Lily:  Nothing is similar to this, but there are many thinks just as good.  i am surprised this is getting banned, and you most likely are not using this, and if you are, just use the next monster on your list.

cyber jar: ah, IMO the best flip effect monster in the game.  My replacement is card destruction.  Can provide almost as much speed as cyber, but there is no card that provides as much speed as cyber, partially why it is getting banned.  Now, we wonder what to replace painful with.

Fiber jar: Like many other cards, this is unparralled.  You get a direct attack, and there is only one card to stop it.  Well, I dont know one person who runs both fiber and cyber, so i suggest also replacing this with morphing jar or #2.

Harpies: Well, there seems to be an abundant amount of m/t removal.  IMO, heavy, 3 msts, and breaker are enough, and I will reveal a replacement in a little bit.  However, if you don't run heavy, then replace this with heavy or any of the other five cards i just mentioned.

rageki: As I said, we don't need an effect similar to harpies to replace it.  So suggest replacing rageki and harpies with a fissure and nobleman.  I will give reason for all of this at the end of my tip.

change of heart: This is an easy one.  Two cards inparticular come to mind.  Creature swap and enemy controller.  IMO, enemy controller is the better because is is more similar to change of heart, and is not completely useless when you don't have a monster.

Imperial order: well, another two come to mind, but these are not nearly as good as the original.  Magic drain and curse of darkness.  IMO, magic drain, partially because my deck is hand destrcution.  Managing your hand is something a lot of us have a huge problem doing, making magic drain work more often.  Even if it doesn't work, it is still a one-for-trade off.

Painful choice:  I have a crazy idea for this one.  Card destruction.  Does not match painful choice, but it's as close as it can get.  A lot of these do not make sense, but I will axplain the logic at the end.

Delinquent duo:  Well, nothing has quite as broken an effect.  IMO the second best magic ever made(next to pot of greed).  Replacement is D.D. designator.  Most of the time you will always know if they have sinister in thier hand, so use it on sinister.

All the cards getting are the best at what they do.  Yata is the best at locks, rageki is the best at removal, etc.  We are trying to find the second best at what they do.  Sometimes, however, cards like yata are one of a kind, and there is no second best.  Thats all i have to say email me at reallylameloser@aol.com then forward it to whiterap505@aol.com .  Thank you for reading till the end.
