MikeIke64 Overlooked Deck type
Hello all Mikeike64 back with
another article
For my article this week i
would like to discuss a new type of deck; a discard deck. As soon as i mentioned
discard you might have thought i talking about deck where you deplete your
opponent's deck, but this is not the case. I'm talking about a deck where you
willingly choose to send your own hand as well as deck to the graveyard,
combined with all of the recursion cards in the game. Now i might get a lot of
criticism for this because it promotes HORRIBLE hand management, but hand
management is only one aspect of the game. No one is going to tell you that you
are going to lose the game because you don't have a hand when you have a monster
with 3000 attack on your side of the field. The idea of it all is to get the
high level monsters out onto the field without tributing for them. As of now i
see potentially two different types of discard decks that are playable, a dragon
discard deck and a discard deck with level 5+ stars with the best effects in
yu-gi-oh. Lets start out with all of the cards that allow you to discard cards
from your hand our deck. Tribute to the Doomed, Raigeki Break, Card Destruction,
Dark Core, Rope of life, Morphing Jar #1, Graceful Charity, Bubble Crash, Mirage
of Nightmare, Wicked-Breaking Flamberge-
Baou, Twin Swords of Flashing Light Tyrce(yeah i bet everyone of you can
remember when you played with some of these). Now that we have those cards out
of the way we need our recursion cards. Monster Reborn, Call of the Haunted,
Premature Burial, Rope of Life, Spear Cretin, Question, Shallow Grave, Soul
Resurrection. Which about raps up all of the recursion cards. Onward to the best
5+ star monsters. Airknight Parshath, Jinzo, Barrel Dragon, Mystical Knight of
Jackal, Gate Guardian Pieces, Moisture Creature, Despair from the dark, Invader
of Darkness. From a combination of all of these cards you would be running a
deck where it wouldn't matter if you played a control deck and they made you
discard you would actually be thanking them for helping you to get some of the
most powerful and under used effect monsters monsters in yugioh. Now to the
dragon discard deck; the more playable of the two decks. Basically everything
that you're are going to need from this deck is in the Legacy of Darkness
booster pack. Unlike the other discard deck Dragons have specific cards to help
their type. You can use the Lord of Dragons and the Flute of Summoning Dragon to
get your high level dragons on to the field as well as discarding them and
reborning them from the graveyard. With a dragon deck you have an unlimited
amount of options to choose from. Dragons cards include Tyrant Dragon, Spear
Dragon, Spirit Ryu, Gray Wing, Stamping Destruction, Super Rejuvenation,
Dragon's Rage, Luster Dragon #1, Luster Dragon #2, Twin Headed Behemoth,
Tri-Horned Dragon, Blue Eyes White Dragon, Kaiser Glider, Hell&<DIV
