Hey ppls,
I wanted to bring
up a very useful yet underused card : Magical Marionette. This card is a
common from the magicians force set so its not too hard to get one. I
run two of these in my deck and i've pulled off awesome combos with
it.
1. I'm sure everyone has heard of or seen the
marionette/gearfried/butterfly dagger combo. It's a pretty effective
combo, givin that u can pull it off. I have done so a few times.
But i usually don't rely on it. If i do use it i make sure i heavy
storm/HFD first.
2. Most people overlook the power of it's second
effect of destroying any monster by removing 2 magic counters. Beatdowns
tend to run a lot of magic and are therefore at a disadvangtage to this
card. All you need is some magic/trap negation to save this monster long
enuff for it to power up.
3. This third little move involves
double spell. In the late-game scene, get magical marionette on the
field and play double spell (theres one spell counter) then bring back your
opponents spell card (preferable Graceful Charity or PoG, but u could also get
monster reborn and so on) play it (theres two counters!). then if u get
any magic from PoG or Graceful, use them!. Clear your opponents field
and attack directly.
i love this card. it saved my @$$ on several
occasions and it fits nicely into my Dark Spellcaster/fiend deck.
so look into this card. It's an asset with a good deck built around
it.
