Building the Bounce
Deck
Well, here's Article #4, about a deck that's very
annoying, for the opponent, the infamous Bounce Deck. The concept of this deck
is to make your opponent play "Little Mister Pokemon Trainer" since all monsters
in this deck revolve around returning your opponent's monsters back to their
"Poke Balls" a.k.a. owner's hand. Here's the
essentials:
Hade-Hane
Rock/Earth
900/1000/5*
FLIP: Return up to
3 monsters on the field to its owner's hand.
>From the new SOD set,
this is a remake of the infamous Hane-Hane from the earlier days, having twice
the ATK and DEF and boosting it's effect to 3 monsters, and well, you'll see the
differences.
Hane-Hane
Beast/Earth
450/500/2*
FLIP: Return 1
monster on the field to its owner's hand.
See? Hane-Hane's effect is
mandatory, but Hade-Hane's effect isn't, meaning you can skip Hade's if you
want, like Penguin Soldier.
Dark Cat with White
Tail
Beast/Earth
800/500/2*
FLIP: Return 2 monsters on your opponent's
side of the field to its owner's hand and return 1 monster on your side of the
field to its owner's hand.
If you have no monsters after this card is
destroyed by battle, the effect doesn't happen. Which is why I always combo this
with CotH.
Gale Lizard
Reptile/Water
1400/700/4*
FLIP: Choose 1
monster on your opponent's side of the field and return it to its owner's
hand.
One of the most powerful monsters in this deck, its effect is
great.
Gravekeeper's Guard
Spellcaster/Dark
1000/1900/4*
FLIP:
Choose 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field and return it to its
owner's hand.
This guy will most likely stay on the field after getting
attacked, unless it gets bashed by a Gorilla. Still, this is a good card for a
deck that isn't GK.
Penguin Soldier
Aqua/Water
750/500/2*
FLIP:
Return up to 2 monsters on the field to their owner's hand.
This effect
is optional. You can choose none, 1, or 2. This is great when you're up against
a swarm deck.
Hyper Hammerhead
Dinosaur/Earth
1500/1200/4*
When
this monster battles an opponent's monster, if the opponent's monster is not
destroyed as a result of the battle, the opponent's monster is returned to its
owner's hand at the end of the Damage Step.
This is basically the only
card that's immune to this one deck's weakness, which I'll explain
later.
Nightmare Penguin
Aqua/Water
900/1800/4*
When this card
is flipped, return one of opponent's cards on the field to hand. When this card
is face-up on the field, increase the attack of all WATER monsters by
200.
This is great for Gale Lizard, not to mention this card can return
M/Ts!!!
Guardian Sphinx
Rock/Earth
1700/2400/5*
You can flip
this card into face-down Defense Position once per turn during your Main Phase.
When this card is Flip Summoned, return all monsters on your opponent's side of
the field to the owner's hand.
The main field clearer, flip it, attack,
and retreat. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Mystical Knight of
Jackal
Beast-Warrior/Light
2700/1200/7*
You can return your opponent's
own monster that is sent to the Graveyard by this monster as a result of battle
to the top of his/her Deck.
This is the most powerful card in this deck,
its basically when your opponent has nothing but monsters left in their hand,
and you can start a lockdown preventing the usage of your opponent's
M/Ts.
Starting Point
Spell
Discard 1 card from your hand to return
1 monster on your opponent's side of the field to the top of their
deck.
This will come out in RDS, so replace this with Winged Sage Falcos
until then. Anyways, this is basically a MkoJ effect for just 1
card.
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Trap
Return 1 monster on your
opponent's side of the field to its owner's hand.
The Trap version of
Hane-Hane is always helpful.
Now, for the weaknesses:
1. Sasuke
Samurai: This ruins your strategy.
2. Light of Intervention: No Flips = No
Win
