Some fairly sick strategies -- by Joe
Banisher of the Light + Painful Choice
+ Dimension Fusion
Pay attention now, the cards must be played in the order
above or it will not work. Banisher's effect is that all cards that go to
the grave are removed from play instead. We all know what the other cards
do. Now, summon Banisher in attack mode. Go ahead, you can do
it. Activate painful choice, pulling five pretty decent monsters that can
be normal summoned (that is, nothing that says, "can only be special summoned by
removing such-and-such from play" or has other requirements for summon).
Your oponent chooses, you keep the one card and banisher removes Choice and all
four other monsters from play by his effect. Play Dimension Fusion.
Now all your monster zones should be filled. Ta-da. Caution: Painful
choice is limited to one, so don't depend too much on this combo. I'm
working on a fairy/divine deck with a RFG (removal-from-game) backing, and
planning on adding this in.
Airknight Parshath + Cestus of
Dagla.
We all know/love/hate Airknight. Cestus is an equip from Dark
Crisis that gives a fairy monster 500atk boost and gives you lifepoints
according to battle damage done by that monster. Airknight is a
fairy. Thus, him and Cestus: 2400atk fairy, he tramples, draws you cards,
gives you life points. Almost as bad (if not worse) for your opponent as
Mefist carrying a Wicked-Breaking Flamberge.
Gyaku-Gire Panda +
Ojama Trio + Staunch Defender (last card is optional)
Panda is an
800atk/1600def earth/beast from dark crisis that tramples and gains 500 attack
points for every monster on your opponent's side of the field. Ojama Trio
puts three non-normal-tribute-able tokens on your opponent's side of the field,
each has 0atk/1000def and deals 300 damage to their controller when
destroyed. Staunch Defender forces all face-up monsters on the opponent's
field to attack a selected face-up monster on your field. Here
goes:
Summon panda, play Ojama Trio and Staunch Defender face down.
Opponent will likely attack the panda, who will have only 1300atk at that point
(they'll have at least one monster in order to attack). Activate Trio and
Defender. If your opponent has only one other monster besides Ojamas,
Panda will have 2800atk. If two, Panda will have 3300atk. In
addition, since Staunch Defender will force all of your opponent's monsters to
attack (you'd better have selected the Panda), then the Ojama tokens will switch
to atk position so they can attack (official ruling). After this, your
opponent will mostly likely either have lost or will be severely crippled.
This will not trigger a replay (official ruling at official YuGiOh
website). Mad props to my peeps at YuGiOhRealms.com.
