Last Solution:

1.      Discard Makyura the Destructor, activating its effect, to activate Monster Reincarnation. Add Dark Magician of Chaos to your hand.

2.      Discard Mystical Space Typhoon to activate Double Spell, targeting Last Will.

3.      Flip Summon Magician of Faith and Mask of Darkness. Add Begone, Knave! and Last Will to your hand.

4.   Activate Last Will.

5.      Tribute Magician of Faith and Mask of Darkness to Tribute Summon Dark Magician of Chaos. Use the effects of Last Will to Special Summon both Elephant Statue of Destruction. Use DMoC’s effect to add Heart of Clear Water to your hand.

6.      Activate Heart of Clear Water, equipping Mataza the Zapper.

7.      Pay 800 Life Points to activate Premature Burial, targeting Elephant Statue of Destruction (your LP now 800).

8.      Activate Meteorain.

9.      Activate Begone Knave!.

10.      Have all three Elephant Statue of Destruction attack your opponent’s set monsters, doing 1500 * 3 – 400 – 400 – 250 = 3450 damage. Your opponent adds two spell cards to his hand and all three Elephant Statue of Destruction are returned to your hand (his LP now 6000).

11.  Have Mataza the Zapper attack Hoshiningen twice (it is not destroyed due to the effect of Heart of Clear Water) and Dark Magician of Chaos attack Kaiser Glider, doing (1000 – 900) * 2 + 2900 – 2400 = 700 damage to you.

a.       DmoC is removed from play.

b.      Three cards are discarded from your hand by the effect of Robbin’ Goblin’.

c.       The effects of three Elephant Statue of Destruction deal 2000 * 3 = 6000 damage.

Final Result: Him - 0, You – 100

   

Problem – Win the Game in One Turn:

            Spoilt for choice I think? Three different strategies before you, but which one will win it? Mokey Mokey, XYZ, or Harpie? Why in diddly anyone would run all three heaven knows, but this merely goes to demonstrate the hypothetical nature of these puzzles. Occasionally, I will do something that has a hope of actually occurring, but those puzzles are generally easy. Also, though I have done my best, more than one of the strategies may work. If you can find more than one, you shall be named in the next puzzle, but don’t waste too much time on it.

    As I post this, it seems this is about as near to my first anniversary as I'm going to get. I'm quite impressed that it came at issue #42 (I didn't intend that. In fact, I would have liked it to be #52, but I'm lazy). I don't exactly know how I managed to do this for a year! Just imagine what I could have done with all those Sundays I spent writing these. 
    Well, not much to be perfectly frank. I must say it has been fun. I've found out a huge number of rulings and I've talked to people from all over the world (to all of you, you're English is surprisingly good). Considering I have trouble keeping in touch with my neighbors, that's pretty dang impressive in my book. Keep writing in!. I know I only say, "Yup. Thanks for reading," to most of you, but I do chat to some of you. If I've managed to teach just one person about Priority and maybe two people to slow down when they are playing, I feel I've accomplished something.
    I must give my eternal thanks to ExMinion OfDarkness, my error checker. He has caught a few of my worst blunders since he started giving me a hand. Without him, I would look quite a lot more stupid. Also, thanks to all of you (especially Minyu Zhou) who have caught my errors after I post the puzzle. You make me look less stupid to those who don't read these immediately.

    Pook decided to go in a different direction in his second year. I'm not going to, yet. To start with, I intend to go through all my old puzzles and fix them. There are tons of grammar problems that need fixing and I shall try to save those few puzzles that ended up being impossible (that Black Tyranno one WILL work). I've done the first few already, but to save Bill some effort, I'll wait to put them up until there is a decent chunk to put up. Have a look: there might be something you missed. Also, once I finish this danged Ranma fanfic I've been writing for the past six months, I think I might try my hand at some fictional duels (like the TV show, but I'll try to use real cards only). Don't expect these any time soon, I'm just telling you what's going through my head.

Hey, I just got the VS. Systems starter. Since my brother pays for all the Yu-Gi-Oh cards, I thought I might get into a game of my own. Interesting game, definitely. If anyone can recommend somewhere to start out other than Pojo or Metagame, I'd love to hear. And, in case you are worried, I intend to continue playing Yu-Gi-Oh for the time being. At least until I get separated from my card supply.
