This week the tournament had many quality opponents.  I have finally acquired a third Axe of Despair and of course added it to my deck.  The addition of Red Moon Baby proved to be very fun to use;  for those that don't know, when Red Moon Baby destroys an opponents monster you may special summon that monster to face-up attack or defence on your side of the field at the end of your battle phase.  I was able to trade for Mystical Space Typhoon and the put it in my side deck before the tournament started.  The three Robbin' Goblins didn't prove to be that useful;  next time I will try to use three Gravekeeper's Servants instead (I should have taken your advice Mr. Fuller).  Michizure was not very effective and will be removed before the next tournament.  If any of you have suggestions for my deck, please send me an e-mail.  Well, on to the tournament report.

Round 1                Fiends of Darkness vs. Chain Energy Deck

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-7500-6500-3250-3050-2050-1050
Michael  8000-7100-5100-2900-900-0

Michael managed to play two of his Chain Energy early in the game, but I pulled Heavy Storm early and cleared his Chain Energy's.  Jirai Gumo again ate half of my life points pulling me down to 3250 life points.  I finished him off with Dark Elf.

Duel 2

Roger the Skunk  8000-7000-6000-5000-4000-3500-2500-0
Michael  8000-7000-6000-4000-5000-4000-3000

Michael again played two Chain Energy early in the game.  Due to the effect of Chain Energy neither of use played cards for awhile;  we both proceeded to draw and then discard over and over again due to the seven-card hand limit.  Chain Energy almost singlehandedly killed me.  In the end Michael used Summoned Skull to finish me off.

Duel 3

Roger the Skunk  8000-7500-6500-6000-5500-5000
Michael  8000-5600-4500-2400-0

I was able to start off with a bang in this duel.  The duel went fairly quickly.  Michael was my best opponent for the entire tournament (until I was eliminated).

Round 2                Fiends of Darkness vs. Weak Beatdown Deck

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-7000
Michael  8000-6200-3800-2000-0

This duel was easy.  This was the younger brother of Michael that I dueled previously.

Duel 2

Roger the Skunk 8000-7000
Michael  8000-3500-0

I brought out Summoned Skull early and attached two Axe of Despair.  Again, this was a quick duel.

Round 3                Fiends of Darkness vs. Good Beatdown Deck

Round 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-4400-5400-0
David  8000-6200

David's Snatch Steal killed me in this duel.

Round 2

Roger the Skunk  8000-5500-4500
David  8000-7200-4700-2200-0

My Summoned Skull ripped through David's life points along with La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp at the end.

Round 3

Roger the Skunk  8000-6300-5300-2650-550-0
David  8000-6250-4250-3850

David played well and beat me.  Jirai Gumo again cost me half of my life points.  Does any one have a suggestion of what to use in place of Jirai Gumo?

Again, this was a great tournament.  Thanks to Mike, the tournament judge, for trading two Red Moon Baby, Mad Sword Beast, Magic Drain, and a Michizure for my Catapult Turtle, Kuriboh, and Cannon Soldier.  If any of you out there want to play some quality Yu-Gi-Oh opponets or you love to play Battletech, Warlord, or Magic the Gathering, then come on out to Lone Star Comics.

Questions or suggetions, then send me an e-mail.

P.S.  I am trying to make a deck-destruction deck.  Can you tell me what you think of what I have so far?  Thanks.
